Herbert Gene “Bud” BOWELL, 71, 104 Westview Court, Argos, died at 2:10 p.m. Friday<br />

at his home. He had been in failing health for a number of years.<br />

He was born in Argos to Herbert H. and Eloyse YEARICK BOWELL. On Sept. 18,<br />

1943 in Argos he married Helen I. ELLIOTT, who survives. He was the owner of Bo Wellco<br />

Building, Napoleon, Ohio, and was the retired director of operations for Wicks Corporation,<br />

Argos. He retired in 1979 after 20 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the<br />

medical corps in the Pacific <strong>The</strong>ater during World War II. He was a member of the Argos United<br />

Methodist Church<br />

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Doug (Sue Ann) STULTZ, Napoleon, Ohio, and Mrs.<br />

Joe (Lisa Ann) DUNFEE, Argos; two sons, Robert ALLEN, Benton Harbor, Mich., and Randy<br />

ALLEN, Toledo, Ohio; seven grandchildren, and two sisters, Mary RITTER, Lafayette, and Mrs.<br />

Harold (Nancy) HENDERSON, Lake Havasu, Ariz. Preceding in death was one sister, Evelyn<br />

ZINK, ad one brother, Harold [BOWELL].<br />

Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Argos United Methodist Church with the Revs.<br />

Robin SMITH and Richard LEWKE officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery<br />

where graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the church from<br />

5-7 p.m. Tuesday. Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials<br />

may be made to the Kidney Foundation and the Marshall <strong>County</strong> Cancer Foundation.<br />

Gene R. Grogg<br />

July 6, 1939 - July 21, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Gene R. GROGG, 57, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 6:43 a.m. Sunday at his residence following an<br />

18-month illness.<br />

Born in Auburn to Albert and Mary E. KESSLER GROGG, he married Jo Ann<br />

HICKMAN GROGG on May 21, 1959 in <strong>Rochester</strong>. She survives. He was a member of the<br />

International Union Operating Engineers locals No. 150, South Bend and No. 103, Kokomo.<br />

From 1977-1993 he was a plant supervisor for McMahan-O’Connor Construction Co., <strong>Rochester</strong>,<br />

retiring in 1995. He also had been associated with Spears-Dehner Construction Co., Fort Wayne,<br />

and Phend-Brown Construction Co., Milford. He was a 1957 graduate of <strong>Rochester</strong> High School<br />

and he coached girls softball for many years.<br />

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Christy GROGG, Las Vegas, Nev., and Marci<br />

SABIN and her husband Al, <strong>Rochester</strong>; one son, David GROGG and hi wife Sharon, Grand<br />

Rapids, Mich.; one grandson, Derek GROGG, Grand Rapids, one sister, Shirley STICE and her<br />

husband Clayton, Denver, Colo.; and one brother, Dan GROGG, Rocheter.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, with<br />

Rev. Junior BOSE officiating. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, <strong>Rochester</strong>. Friends may<br />

call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until services at the funeral home.<br />

Memorials may be made to the <strong>Rochester</strong> High School Scholarship General Fund or the<br />

<strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> Cancer Fund.<br />

James Craig<br />

James CRAIG, 58, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at his residence. Arrangements<br />

are pending at Van Gilder Funeral Home, Plymouth.
