Shyanne Marie GARCIA, 3 1/2 weeks, Akron, died at 5:05 pm. Wednesday at Riley<br />

Childrens Hospital, Indianapolis.<br />

She was born in South Bend to Rafael and Jessica MULLINS GARCIA. Surviving with<br />

her parents are maternal grandparents Gary and Mindy MILLER, Silver Lake, and Craig (wife<br />

Beth) BRUCE, Peru; paternal grandparents Rafael and Maria GARCIA, Akron; maternal greatgrandother,<br />

Lucille BRUCE, Chicago, and paternal great-grandmother, Maria GARCIA, country<br />

of Mexico.<br />

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Akron Cemetery with Pastor<br />

Bruce HOSTETLER officiating. <strong>The</strong> Hartzler Funeral Home of Akron is in charge of<br />

arrangements. <strong>The</strong>re will be no visitation.<br />

George D. Mollencupp<br />

Sept. 14, 1921 - Aug. 15, <strong>1996</strong><br />

George D. MOLLLENCUPP, 74, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Life Care Center,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>. Born in Kewanna to Charles and Ada COOK MOLLENCUPP, he lived most of his<br />

life in the Kewanna and <strong>Rochester</strong> communities. On Jan. 9, 1959 in South Bend he married<br />

Maxine H. HOLLOWAY, who survives.<br />

He was a truck driver for Monarch and Regent Homes, Nappanee, before retirig in 1990.<br />

He earned a Purple Heart and seven Bronze Stars while serving in Europe with the U.S. Army. A<br />

member of the Disabled American Veterans, he was a lifetime member of the Lake Manitou<br />

Veterans of Foreign Wars, where he was a Post Commander and a Trustee. He was also a member<br />

of the Lake Manitou Moose Lodge #110 and the First Church of God, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Sandra Kay FERRELL, <strong>Rochester</strong>; Mrs.<br />

Dennis (Carol Ann) STEVENSON, Downy, Calif.; and Karen Sue SHAFER, Mishawaka; one<br />

son, George and wife Marcella MOLLENCUPP Jr., Woodbury; four step-daughters, Mrs. Charles<br />

(Christine) BRADLEY, Mrs. Fred (Patricia) ENYART, Mrs. Jerry (Cleta) POOR, and Terra<br />

LITTLE, all of <strong>Rochester</strong>; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived<br />

by two sisters, Mrs. Bess ENGLE, Bruce Lake, and Mrs. Mary RADERSTROF, Kewanna, and<br />

one brother, Edward MOLLENCUPP, Bruce Lake, and several nieces and nephews.<br />

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Bill [MOLLENCUPP].<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Church of God, <strong>Rochester</strong>, with the Rev.<br />

Samuel BENNETT officiating. Burial will be at Citzens Cemetery, <strong>Rochester</strong>. Visitation will be<br />

from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and at the church one hour<br />

prior to services. Military graveside services will be conducted by the VFW and the American<br />

Legion.
