Leonard J. Staldine<br />

May 15, 1931 - May 7, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Leonard J. “Lennie” STALDINE, 64, South Bend, died at 6:53 a.m. Tuesday at his<br />

residence.<br />

He was born in Chicago, Ill., to Edward and Anna (VANDEREIT) STALDINE. He<br />

married Marilyn BUSSERT Sept. 24, 1950. She survives.<br />

He had lived in the Talma area since 1937. He was in retail sales for more than 40 years<br />

in South Bend. He retired in 1990. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church,<br />

Planned Parenthood of Northern Indiana, the Elks Lodge, and the American Society of Heating,<br />

Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers.<br />

Also surviving are two sons, Rick [STALDINE] of Gillette, Wyo. and Barry L.<br />

[STALDINE] of Pendleton; three grandchildren; one sister Joyce MORGAN, Goreville, Ill., [one<br />

sister-in-law, Norma L. ROBINS; one brother-in-law, Everett “Abe” ROBINS; and nieces and<br />

naphews].<br />

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home in South Bend with the<br />

Rev. Larry RAY officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 4:30-8:30 p.m<br />

Friday at the funeral home, 1201 S. Michigan St.<br />

Memorials may be left to the American Cancer Society.<br />

Robert O. Sponseller<br />

Dec. 26, 1920 - May 8, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Robert O. SPONSELLER, 75, Warsaw, died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday at Parkview<br />

Hospital, Fort Wayne.<br />

He was born in Kosciusko <strong>County</strong> to Vern and Ruby (BITTING) SPONSELLER. He<br />

married Ruth HAWLEY Jan. 15, 1946. She survives.<br />

He was a lifetime resident of the Etna Green and Atwood areas. He graduated from Etna<br />

Green High School in 1939. He was a member of the Etna Green United Methodist Church. He<br />

was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942-45.<br />

Surviving are his wife; four sons, Richard, Steven and Bryan [SPONSELLER] of<br />

Atwood and Gary [SPONSELLER], Etna Green; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild.<br />

Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Etna Green United Methodist Church with the<br />

Rev. Dennis BOLLENBACHER officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Center Cemetery, Etna<br />

Green. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday at King Memorial Home and Saturday until one hour prior to<br />

services at the church.<br />

Memorials may be left to Etna Green United Mthodist Church.<br />

Delores V. Creakbaum<br />

Delores V. CREAKBAUM, 88, Mooresville, died at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan<br />

<strong>County</strong> Hospital in Martinsville.<br />

She was a former resident of the Mentone-Warsaw area. Arrangements are pending at<br />

Hartzler Funeral Home in Akron.
