Susie Shoemaker Doss<br />

March 19, 1913 - Nov. 27, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Susie SHOEMAKER DOSS, 83, Argos, died at 8:14 p.m.Wednesday at Woodlawn<br />

Hospital.<br />

Born in Chicago to Leonard and Etta BIDDINGER KICKERT, she married Claude<br />

SHOEMAKER on April 10, 1932 in Chicago, Ill.; he died Feb. 4, 1964. She married Fred E.<br />

DOSS on Feb. 23, 1974 in Plymouth; he died March 11, 1990. She had lived in Argos since 1931,<br />

having come from Chicago. An employee of Del Monte Foods, later known as R J. Reynolda<br />

Corp., Plymouth, she retired in 1970. She was a member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren,<br />

Walnut Ruralettes of Argos, Women of the Moose, Plymouth, and Richland Center Rebekah<br />

Lodge. She was a volunteer worker at St Joseph Hospital of Marshall <strong>County</strong>, Plymouth.<br />

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Barbara) WARNER, <strong>Rochester</strong>, Mrs.<br />

Bruno (Claudette) CANZIAN, Indianapolis; one son, Donald and wife Bonnie SHOEMAKER,<br />

Elwood; five grandchildren, Kathleen CUNNINGHAM, Angela McCLELLAN, Jeff WARNER,<br />

all of <strong>Rochester</strong>, Diana WAYMIRE, Elwood, David SHOEMAKER, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and<br />

nine great-gradchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.<br />

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with the Revs.<br />

George SHOEMAKER and Tony SCHNEIDERS officiatig. Burial will be in Walnut Church of<br />

the Brethren Cemetery, southeast of Argos. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today and from 1-2 p.m.<br />

Saturday before services.<br />

Memorials other than flowers can be made to the Marshall <strong>County</strong> Cancer Fund.<br />

Margaret L. Johnson<br />

Sept. 16, 1905 - Nov. 27, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Margaret Lucille JOHNSON, 91, Twelve Mile, died at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday at Chase<br />

Center, Logansport.<br />

Born in Clinton <strong>County</strong> to Morgan and Mary MILNER GRAY, she married Wade<br />

JOHNSON on Oct. 23, 1932; he died Nov 9, 1984. She graduated from Frankfort High School in<br />

1925 and Indiana University in 1929 with a bachelor of arts in business. She worked as Assistant<br />

Personnel Director for H.P. Wasson Co., Indianapolis She was a member of the Order of the<br />

Eastern Star, <strong>Fulton</strong> Chapter, a member of he United Methodist Women and the Twelve Mile<br />

Quilters.<br />

She is survived by one daughter Eleanor G. MIKESELL, Twelve Mile; two grandsons,<br />

Paul L. MIKESELL, Twelve Mile, Gregory W. MIKESELL, Duluth, Ga.; one greatgranddaughter,<br />

Kimberly Ann MIKESELL, Duluth, Ga., ad one sister Lula CONGLETON,<br />

Frankfort. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters Ethel GRAY and<br />

Dora IRWIN.<br />

Services are at 3 p.m. Saturday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Rev. Judy<br />

ADAMS officiating Burial is in Metea Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today and 2-3 p.m.<br />

Saturday.<br />

Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem United Methodist Church or Habitat for<br />

Humanity, Cass <strong>County</strong>, P.O. Box 494, Logansport.
