Feb. 13, 1925 - Oct. 1, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Harvey Raymond CALLAHAN, 71, 11 Mallard Lane Sandy Beach, North Manchester,<br />

died at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.<br />

He was born in Wabash <strong>County</strong> to John J. and Ruth ANDERSON CALLAHAN. On<br />

Nov. 24, 1954 in North Manchester, he married Trula Faye PENROD, who survives. A lifetime<br />

Wabash <strong>County</strong> resident, he was employed at Ford Meter Box for 18 years until his retirement in<br />

1987. He was a member of the North Manchester United Methodist Church, Laketon American<br />

Legion Post 402, and WWII Army veteran.<br />

Surviving with his wife are three sons, Vaughn J. CALLAHAN, Urbana, Chad Alan<br />

CALLAHAN, Sidney, Brad Evan CALLAHAN, North Manchestr; a daughter, Dawn<br />

CALLAHAN, Holland, Ohio; five grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. He is also<br />

survived by two brothers, Charles CALLAHAN, North Manchester, and John CALLAHAN,<br />

Winamac; and three sisters, Mrs. Lamoin (Mary) MONTEL, North Manchester, Francis<br />

CALLAHAN, Winamac, and Mrs. Maurice (Berdene) AZBELL, <strong>Rochester</strong>. He was preceded in<br />

death by his parents, one son, two brothers and one sister.<br />

Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at the North Manchester United Methodist Church<br />

with the Rev. William HEMMIG and Chaplain Jeans BODART officiating. Burial will be in the<br />

Fairview Cemetery, Servia. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today at Bender Chapel Grandstaff-<br />

Hentgen Funeral Service, 207 E Main St., North Manchester.<br />

Paul F. Emery<br />

April 23, 1906 - Oct. 2, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Paul F. EMERY, 90, Twelve Mile, died at 1:24 a.m. today at Dukes Hospital, Peru.<br />

He was born in Cass <strong>County</strong> to Isaac and Cora E. CLARY EMERY, and attended the<br />

Lucerne School. On Aug. 20, 1933 in Cass <strong>County</strong> he married Violet JOHNSON; she died Oct.<br />

23, 1969. He then married Gavette KEITH on Feb. 20, 1972 in <strong>Fulton</strong>; she died March 4, 1994.<br />

A retired farmer, he had lived in Twelve Mile since 1949 having come from <strong>Fulton</strong>. He was a<br />

member of the <strong>Fulton</strong> United Methodist Church, Modern Woodsmen, and Cass <strong>County</strong> Farm<br />

Bureau of which he was a former director.<br />

He is survived by a daughter Paulletta EMERY SHAFER and a son Robert E. EMERY,<br />

both of Twelve Mile, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a<br />

sister Dorothy McCALL of Logansport. He was preceded in death by a granddaughrter, Brenda<br />

SHAFER, one brother and eight sisters.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Zimmerman Family Funeral Home, <strong>Fulton</strong>.<br />

Burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m.<br />

Friday until services.<br />

Memorial contributions may be made to the <strong>Fulton</strong> United Methodfist Church or the<br />

American Cancer Society.
