Raymond D. Middaugh<br />

July 15, 1917 - June 13, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Raymond Devoe MIDDAUGH, 78, Argos, died at 8:12 a.m. Thursday at Pilgrim Manor<br />

Nursing Home, Plymouth.<br />

Born near Nappanee to Henry and Iola RINEHART MIDDAUGH, he married Alberta<br />

Caroline SNYDER in 1940. She survives. He is a retired farmer and had been employed by Mid-<br />

West Spring and Niff-Coor, both of Mentone, Gerring Industries and Monitor Trailer, both of Etna<br />

Green, and R. J. Reynolds, Plymouth. He was a member of the Walnut Church of the Brethren,<br />

Marshall <strong>County</strong> Farm Bureau, and Farm Bureau Co-op.<br />

Preceding him in death were one son, David MIDDAUGH; one sister, Helen BRIGGS;<br />

and one brother, Robert MIDDAUGH.<br />

Surviving with his wife are two daughtrs Jean WALLACE, Warsaw, and Carolyn Sue<br />

MANNS, Akron; three sons, Charles MIDDAUGH and his wife Rita, and Steven MIDDAUGH<br />

and his wife Sharon, both of Argos, and Carl MIDDAUGH and his wife Jill, Bourbon; fourteen<br />

grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Pauline SHOEMAKER, Burket, and Mary<br />

Louise WAGONER, Argos.<br />

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Walnut Church of the Brethren, southeast of<br />

Argos, with the Revs. Tony SCHNEIDERS and Robert RICE officiating. Burial will be at the<br />

Argos Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. at the Grossman Funeral Home<br />

and for one hour prior to services at the church.<br />

Memorials can be made to Argos Dollars for Scholars or the Walnut Church of the<br />

Brethren.<br />

Everett Solomon<br />

Mar. 25, 1926 - June 11, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Everett “Bud” SOLOMON, 70, Argos, died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital<br />

of Marshall <strong>County</strong>.<br />

Born in Hebron to Charles Conklin ad Harriet Jane LEE SOLOMON, he married Bonnie<br />

L. FISHBURN in 1946. She survives. He was retired from farming and Bendix Corp., South<br />

Bend. He was a member of the Jordan Baptist Church, Argos, and the U.A.W., Local 9, South<br />

Bend. During World War II, he served in the Atlantic Fleet as a signalman in the first crew on the<br />

U.S. Taconic.<br />

Preceding him in death were six sisters, Bertha Ages SOLOMON, Mabel Lenora REED,<br />

Mary SOLOMON, Sarah Esther SOLOMON, Clara Rosemary HATCHER, Frances Ruth<br />

IRELAN; and five brothers, Lloyd Lee, Adam Earl, William Fred, Charles Henry and Harry<br />

SOLOMON.<br />

Surviving with his wife are two daughters, Sheila BEERS, Argos, and Lou Ann<br />

NORMAN, Terrell, Texas; two sons, Jerry SOLOMON, Argos, and David SOLOMON and his<br />

wife Jennifer, Argos; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, and Austin SOLOMON, and Shaindel,<br />

Adria, Aaron, and Avram BEERS, all of Argos, and Kathleen and Maria NORMAN, Terrell,<br />

Texas; one sister, Edna Mae ELLIS, Hebron; and one brother, Smith Scott SOLOMON,<br />

Woodbury, Tenn.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with Rev.<br />

Roy FISHBURN officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. <strong>The</strong> Argos<br />

American Legion Post No. 68 will conduct military graveside services. Visitation will be from 2-<br />

8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.<br />

Memorials can be made to the Jordan Baptist Church, Argos.
