July 22, 1908 - Nov. 8, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Clleo D. HAWK, 88, formerly of Princeton Lane, Logansport, died at 2:15 a.m.<br />

Wednesday at Life Care Center, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Born in Winamac to Cecil L. and Estella M. DAGGETT, she married John L. HAWK on<br />

April 29, 1928 in Valparaiso; he died March 20, 1981. She was a homemaker and a member of<br />

the Hillcrest Baptist Church.<br />

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia L. and husband David E. SMITH, <strong>Rochester</strong>,<br />

Norma J. MULKEY, Upland, Calif.; a son John T and wife Caroline HAWK, Peru; four<br />

grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and one brother Richard GIFFORD, Wickieup, Ariz.<br />

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.<br />

Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Fueral Home,<br />

1603 East Broadway St., Logansport, with the Rev. Craig S. PENDL officiating. Burial is in<br />

Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Logansport. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral<br />

home.<br />

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church.<br />

Leora Hurst<br />

June 24, 1911 - Nov. 7, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Leora HURST, 85, Macy, died at ExtendaCare Nursing Home, <strong>Rochester</strong> on Thursday.<br />

Born in Gilead to Wesley and Bertha DUKES BOWEN, she married Bernard W. HURST<br />

on July 10, 1937 in Macy; he died June 8, 1974. She was a member of the First Christian Church<br />

of Macy, the Macy Mother’s Club and the Pleasant Hour Club.<br />

She is survived by four sons, John A. and wife Carol HURST, Macy, James M. HURST,<br />

Logansport, Steven R. HURST, Warsaw, David K. and wife Lorie [HURST], <strong>Rochester</strong>; thirteen<br />

grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Irene SECOR, Akron.<br />

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Zimmerman Family Funeral Home,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>, with the Rev. Junior BOSE officiating. Burial will be at Plainview Cemetery, Macy.<br />

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today, and from 12 noon until the hour of services on Sunday at the<br />

funeral home.
