Sept. 11, 1925 - July 23, <strong>1996</strong><br />

John Jack BARTOSIK, 71, Argos, died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital of<br />

Marshall <strong>County</strong>.<br />

Born in Czechoslovakia to John and Anna BARTOSIK, he married Luz BARTOSIK in<br />

1971 in Emhurst, Ill. She survives. He came to the U.S.A. at the age of 2 and was a resident of<br />

the Argos community since 1980 having come from Bellwood, Ill. He was a roofer for Clark<br />

Roofing Co., Bellwood, Ill., retiring in 1980. He was also a U.S. Army veteran serving in World<br />

War II.<br />

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Frank and Walter [BARTOSIK].<br />

Surviving with his wife are seven daughters, Karen SAYLERS and her husband Terry<br />

and Denise ROWE and her husband Marvin, both of Knox, Cathy CALHOUN and her husband<br />

Brian, Plymouth, Lynn WOODWARD, Valparaiso, Chris WILKENS and her husband Jim,<br />

Culver, Laura HUBERS and her husband John, Demotte, and Anna ROBBINS and her husband<br />

Terry, Monterey; seventeen grandchildren; two sisters, Mary LICHWA, Lyons, Ill., and Anna<br />

OTRESINA, Arkansas, and one brother, Milton BARTOSIK.<br />

Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with Rev.<br />

Mahendra ANANDAPPA officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.<br />

July 26, 1903 - July 23, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Lena M. IGO, 92, Winona Lake, died at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Village Retirement<br />

Center, Winona Lake.<br />

Born in Franklin Township, Kosciusko <strong>County</strong> to John and Lulu TIPTON TUCKER, she<br />

married Ernest IGO Dec. 22, 1923. He preceded her in death. She lived in the Mentone area all of<br />

her life and was a former school teacher and homemaker. She was a member of the Beaver Dam<br />

United Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid, and a former member of Eastern Star.<br />

Preceding her in death with her husband were two brothers and three sisters.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Shirley SMALLEY and her husband Wayne, Beaver Dam<br />

Lake; one son, Miles IGO and his wife Maxine, Melbourne,Fla.; seven grandchildren; and ten<br />

great-grandchildren.<br />

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church,<br />

Akron, with Rev. Evelyn TAYLOR CAIN officiating. Burial will be at Nichols Cemetery, Akron,<br />

and visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at King Memorial Home, Mentone.<br />

Memorials may be made to the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or<br />

the American Cancer Society.<br />

Visistaion hours have been extended. <strong>The</strong> new hours are from 3-8 p.m. Friday at King<br />

Memorial Home, Mentone. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Beaver Dam United<br />

Methodist Church, Akron, and burial will be at Nichols Cemetery, Akron.
