Dale E. WELTY, 81, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 6:25 a.m. Monday at the <strong>Rochester</strong> Healthcare<br />

Center.<br />

Born in Flora to Sam and Mirtie EIKENBERRY WELTY, he married Medrith<br />

BROWER on Aug. 12, 1939 in Mexico; she survives. He had been a resident of this area for<br />

about 50 years coming from Carroll <strong>County</strong>. He was retired from the Logansport Machine<br />

Company where he had been the production control manager. He was a member of the First<br />

Presbyterian Church of <strong>Rochester</strong>, the <strong>Rochester</strong> Elks Lodge, Scottish Rite of South Bend, Ft.<br />

Wayne Mizpah Shrine and a 50-year member of the <strong>Rochester</strong> Masonic Lodge.<br />

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs James (Diane S.)<br />

RICHARDSON, Masontown, Pa., two grandchildren, Christine ATCHLEY, New York City, and<br />

Bryan ATCHLEY, Masontown, Pa. He was preceded in death by a sister.<br />

Memorial service is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev.<br />

Robert CRYTZER officiating. <strong>The</strong>re is no visitation. A committal service and a Masonic service<br />

will be conducted at the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F. Cemetery following the memorial service.<br />

Zimmerman Fanily Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.<br />

Marie O. Norris<br />

Feb. 9, 1920 - Oct. 8, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Marie Ora NORRIS, 76, 1117 Monroe St., <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday at Life<br />

Care Center. She had been in failing health for a year.<br />

Born in Hillsboro, Ill., to Jess and Ora FIELDS FILE, she came to <strong>Rochester</strong> from near<br />

Griffith in 1954. She was married to Fredrick Arnold NORRIS who died in March, 1960. She<br />

retired from Hart Schaffner & Marx in 1985 after 13 years. Prior to that she had owned and<br />

operated the Courthouse View Cafe and the Peoples Cafe in <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ershel (Marie “Mickey”) CARLILE, <strong>Rochester</strong>; three<br />

grandchildren, Gary HARROLD, Argos, Mrs. Mike (Mary) MILLS, Talma, Mrs. Marty (Sherri)<br />

BROCK, Culver; and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth<br />

CRAWFORD, Decatur, Ill., and a brother Robert CRAWFORD, Litchfield, Ill. She was preceded<br />

in death by two grandsons, Terry and Larry HARROLD, several brothers and sisters.<br />

Arrangements are pending at Foster & Good Funeral Home, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Marjorie A. TOBEY, 74, 5060 E. Indiana 14, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 5:31 a.m. today at<br />

Woodlawn Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Zimmerman Family Funeral Home.<br />

Pansy V. Iliff<br />

Pansy Violet ILIFF, 77, 10 Colonial Court, Lot 16 C, Argos, died at 4:50 a.m. today at<br />

Woodlawn Hospital followig an illness. Arrengements are pending at Grossman Funeral Home,<br />

Argos.<br />

Cyrus R. Peabody<br />

Cyrus R. “Butch” PEABODY, 74, 301 Lewis St., Plymouth, died at 2:45 a.m. today at<br />

his residence followig an illness. Arrengements are pending at Grossman Funeral Home, Argos.
