John E. Aman<br />

Nov. 11, 1923 - Nov. 23, <strong>1996</strong><br />

John Edward AMAN, 73, a resident of Sebring, Fla. for the past several years, died Nov.<br />

23. Born in Culver to Sylvester and Bertha AMAN he was a lifelong resident of Plymouth. He<br />

served in the U.S. Navy during both WW II and the Korean War. He was employed as a mechanic<br />

and later retired from Indiana Tool as a machinist. He was a member of the Baptist Church.<br />

He is survived by his wife Betty [AMAN], Sebring, Fla.; a daughter Bobbie SHARPE,<br />

Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Richard [AMAN], Plymouth, James [AMAN], Bourbon; one stepdaughter<br />

Pam HOWDESHEL, Rochestr; one step-son John MILNER, Rollig Prairie; two sisters<br />

Erma FAUSNAUGH, Virginia CARTWRIGHT; one half-sister June Carol NICE; two halfbrothers<br />

George and Ken AMAN; thirteen grandchildren and six great-gradchildren. He was<br />

preceded in death by his former wife Audrey [AMAN] and one brother Charles [AMAN].<br />

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m.. Tuesday at the Grace Baptist Church,<br />

Plymouth.<br />

Memorial contriutios may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the local<br />

Heart Association.<br />

Wilbur R Kelso Jr.<br />

Wilbur R. KELSO Jr., 76, formerly of Culver, died at his residence in Sebring, Fla. on<br />

Nov. 27. He was born in Chicago, Ill., and was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Air Force.<br />

He was a brick mason for over 40 years and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post<br />

6919, Culver. He was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a former<br />

member of St Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, Culver, and is a member of St. Agnes Episcopal<br />

Church, Sebring.<br />

He is survived by his wife, Violamay “Vi” [KELSO], Sebring; one son Wilbur R. “Rich”<br />

KELSO, III, Culver; two daughters Ardis BARNETT, Indianapolis, Alice KELSO BOYD,<br />

Fowler; and one granddaughter Sandra KELSO.<br />

A memorial service will be held in Sebring with services in Indiana at a later date.<br />

Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring, is in charge of arrangements.<br />

<strong>The</strong> family suggests memorials to Hospice of Highlands Couty 245 S. Commerce Ave.,<br />

Sebring, Fla., 33870.<br />

Henry E. Bockover<br />

Oct. 4, 1923 - Nov. 29, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Henry Ephriam “Effie” BOCKOVER, 73, Akron, died Friday at his residence after a twoyear<br />

illness.<br />

Born in Perry Township, Miami county to Ernest and Esther SWOPE BOCKOVER, he<br />

graduated from Macy High School in 1942. He had lived in the Macy and Twelve Mile<br />

communities all of his life He was a livestock trucker in the Macy and surrounding area, and also<br />

a grain and dairy farmer.<br />

He is survived by one brother, John BOCKOVER, Akro.<br />

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with the Rev.<br />

William SHEWMAN officiating Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery, Macy Visitation is from<br />

5-8 p.m Monday at the funeral home.<br />

Memorial contributions may vbe made to the American Heart Association.
