Word was received that Timothy Francis O’NEILL, 59, died Feb. 25, in Sarasota, Fla.<br />

He was born in Hartford, Conn. He was raised Catholic and became a Baptist when he<br />

married his wife Glenda in 1958. He served in the U.S. Air Force and had lived in Texas, New<br />

York, California, Oregon, Indiana and Florida.<br />

Mr. O’Neill lived in <strong>Rochester</strong> from 1969 through 1973. He was the assistant plant<br />

manager at the Torin Plant, having transferred to <strong>Rochester</strong> in 1969 from their facility in<br />

Torrington, Conn. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, active in the bowling league, and coach<br />

of his son’s Little League team, the Lions. In Sarasota, Fla., he continued his career in the<br />

manufacturing industry and then became a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service.<br />

He is survived by his wife, Glenda [O’NEILL]; his mother, Edith TAYLOR, Bristol,<br />

Conn.; one daughter, Shirlynn HUDSPETH, Valdosta, Ga.; two sons, Timothy [O’NEILL] III,<br />

Sarasota, Fla.; and Benjamin [O’NEILL], North Port, Fla.; three sisters, Gertrude WOODS,<br />

Bristol, Conn., Mary Jane CAGUE, Menlo Park, Calif.; and Ann MARTIN, Salters, S.C.<br />

Visitation was at the Robart’s Funeral Home, Sarasota, Fla., and the funeral service was<br />

Feb. 28 at Bee Ridge Baptist Church, Sarasota, Fla. Burial was in the Palms Memorial Park,<br />

Sarsota, Fla.<br />

Margaret R. McSwain<br />

May 19, 1912 - March 6, <strong>1996</strong><br />

Margaret R. McSWAIN, 83, Grace Village Retirement Community, Winona Lake, died<br />

at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday at her residence.<br />

She was born in South Carolina to James G. and Katharine EDWARDS ROGERS. On<br />

Aug. 23, 1936, in Latta, S.C., she married George Robert McSWAIN, who died in July, 1951.<br />

Formerly of Lexington, S.C., she was a school teacher in South Carolina for over 30 years. She<br />

was a member of the Akron United Methodist Church.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Dot LYNN, <strong>Rochester</strong>; and two grandsons, Craven LYNN,<br />

Fort Wayne; and Bob LYNN, Bloomington. Preceding in death were one son, George Robert<br />

McSWAIN Jr., who died in 1976; and two sisters, Dorothy LEMMON and Katharine REICH.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m Sunday at Lexington United Methodist Church, Lexington,<br />

S.C., with the Rev. John ROPP officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbia,<br />

S.C. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. Memorials<br />

may be made to the Akron United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
