Summary I write to object to the proposed housing allocation as it relates to the Abergele area.
The land to be developed south east of Abergele (off St George Road and Llanfair Road) consists of outstandingly beautiful countryside.
The proposed development off St George Road will result in the loss of public recreation grounds.
Projected housing requirements published by the Welsh Assembly Government are based upon past trends, which in the case of Abergele and the eastern
coastal zone, have been distorted by exceptionally large developments unrelated to local need.

Summary There's no research at local level on the plans effects on the Welsh Language in the Abergele community. There's no space in the local schools for 300 new
families in the houses, or for Gypsy and Traveller children. No research has been undertaken into this either.

These homes are not a good idea as this is the last remains of the GREEN BELT around Abergele. The land below Tan y Gopa has now been built on. Also
these houses are not 'really needed' as only newcomers could afford them and there has already been extensive building in St Georges Road and the new
houses below Tan y Gopa.

Summary You have failed to comply with the community consultation process regarding plans to install a bypass, housing and Gypsy & Traveller campsite, my husband
and I are very angry about these plans as we have recently bought out bungalow. Our solicitor sent us a report of the area which we paid hundreds of pounds
for, these plans were not on this report.
We think it is disgusting that residents have not been consulted about there plans. I believe a Mr Yates is responsible for these plans. Perhaps we can locate
the houses & Gypsy site next to his home.

Summary I understand the government has set targets for house building, however I object to any further large scale development of Abergele. I believe further
development will, rather than meeting an existing demand from Abergele residents attract new people; who work away, retired people and in all likelihood the
less desirable residents currently housed by authorities out side our borders. This will increase traffic and pressures on the infrastructure of Abergele. I
believe Abergele needs the green space around it and this is more important than ever with the development which has taken place along the coast in recent
years.
Change Sought: Far better to focus development on areas such as Bodelwyddan which have space to grow or Conwy. I do see limited options for building on brown field sites
such as the old Slaters Citroen depot, the old ATS site or down Peel Street.
