13853 Miss Jo-Ann Christy [4051] 1 Object
Summary Loss of open space between historic buildings. Grade II listed buildings are a precious and finite asset and powerful reminders of the way of life of earlier
generations. The richness of this country's architectural heritage plays an influential part in our sense of national and regional identity.
The allocation amounts to overdevelopment of the village.
The site is not suitable for development having regard to access and gradient.
Village has limited infrastructure and narrow roads.
Please see attached sheet.
No footpaths or safe road access
Will ruin centre of village
13640 Mr Andrew Gallagher [3954] 1 Object
Summary Loss of natural village feel and turning the general area in suburbia which will negate character of village.
Considering the number of vacant houses in Conwy/Colwyn area there is no real need for further development in this context.
The village is built on limestone with know radon readings.
There is a sad lack of footpaths around this village tantamount to hazard development.
There is no facility for mains gas owing to rock structure.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13767 Mr Barry Greenhalgh [4019] 1 Object
Summary Lack of infrastructure in area e.g. very narow roads, lack of police, only an hourly bus service, no mains gas service, sewage etc.
Very close proximity to the rock blasting quarry, very loud blasting nosie and bad tremors.
New houses will look out of character to the villager's stone built houses/cottages. New houses will look cramped up and make the village like a big housing
estate instead of a nice little village.
It is unfair that the council not allowing the proposed land owner to sell the plot to the public first.
LDP is not sound with this site included.
Change Sought: Delete site.
