Summary Good for the council in granting the proposal for 65 houses on Bodafon fields. I live 200 yards from the proposed site <strong>and</strong> during the summer the fields are an<br />

eyesore. This proposal will make Craig-y-Don <strong>and</strong> bring the area much needed business. I cannot see what all the fuss is about unless the protesters are<br />

bothered that their houses may lose some value.<br />

Summary This housing proposal which was not in the 2009 version <strong>of</strong> the plan has been inserted at a late stage without any reference in any documents to the<br />

l<strong>and</strong>scape conservation status or the agricultural l<strong>and</strong> classification <strong>of</strong> the site <strong>and</strong> without consultation with the community or the Town Council until 2011.<br />

The l<strong>and</strong> take <strong>of</strong> prime farml<strong>and</strong> will reduce the viability <strong>of</strong> the farm which already relies heavily on diversified activities <strong>and</strong> the housing will add significantly to<br />

the already heavy traffic flows generated by Ysgol Gogarth <strong>and</strong> the mental health centre 'Roslin' both situated on Nant y Gamar.<br />

Summary The entire area <strong>of</strong> Bodafon farm l<strong>and</strong> with its livestock <strong>and</strong> open l<strong>and</strong> is the first thing that tourists see on approaching <strong>Ll<strong>and</strong>udno</strong> along the coastal road from<br />

the east. Even if this parcel <strong>of</strong> l<strong>and</strong> is not used in the current phase <strong>of</strong> housing development its identification on the plan assigns it a status <strong>of</strong> being potentially<br />

available for development.<br />

Change Sought: A more suitable zone for new housing could be the area in Mochdre located on the south side <strong>of</strong> the road leading from Colwyn Bay to the A55/A470 junction<br />

at the Black Cat. This area is close to the area <strong>of</strong> employment opportunity <strong>and</strong> has access to Colwyn Bay along the existing collector road.<br />
