SECTION FOUR - SPATIAL POLICIES, KEY DIAGRAMS AND SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT CONTROL POLICIES
4.2.2 Housing Strategy Statement, Policy HOU/1 MEETING THE HOUSING NEED, Adjacent to former Rectory, Llysfaen
Rep No Name People Type
14398 Ms Bethan Jones [4427] 1 Object
Summary I object on the following grounds:
1. Settlement growth
2. Access
3. Ownership.
The village has already taken substantial amounts of housing growth in recent years and the proposed allocation plus commitments will achieve an
unsustainable and inapproporate growth rate for a main village.
14413 Mr & Mrs Fred & Pauline Sumners [4431] 1 Object
1. Important Historic Village.
2. Unsuitable road structure and many roads have no pavements.
3. Water table not able to support more houses.
4. School access is not good.
5. Site unstable due to working quarry, ground moves when blasting.
6. Many new modern houses unsold.
7. Nothing here to attract young people, work/enterntainment
8. Local people cannot afford to buy, we would be surrounded by commuters or famililes that no other council desires to have.
Summary Totally unsuitable access proposed adjacent to school. The traffic and congestion during school terms are dangerous and hazzards, it's an accident waiting to
happen.
13883 Mr Ian Catterall [4059] 1 Object
Summary A development of this size in the historical centre of the village will forever change its character, take away the last remaining open green areas, and spoil the
village. I also doubt that any houses built will be within the financial reach of local people, and that they will be acquired by social housing providers for people
from outside Conwy. Llysfaen has had more than its fair share of development in recent years, including private housing, social housing and the controversial
nearby landfill site, and the council should seek to find an alternative site.
13780 Mrs Patricia Evans [4023] 1 Object
Summary I do not wish for any houses being built near our local church, it would totally spoil the outlook of our village. Also for the wild life in the area.
It would also be far too dangerous to gain access onto Pentregwyddel Road.
Change Sought: Delete site.
