4.2.2 Housing Strategy Statement, Policy HOU/1 MEETING THE HOUSING NEED, Ty Mawr, Llysfaen
Rep No Name People Type
13731 Mrs Gwyneth Taylor [4002] 1 Object
Summary Too much overdevlopment in Llysfaen over the last 30 years
Further development will destroy the village status
Filling in the open spaces around Listed Buildngs at the heart of the vilalge will destroy the character of the village
Narrow roads and few footpaths, already dangerous and congested
Quarry causes structural damage from blasting
Building work could disturb lethal radon gas in the limestone area
No mains gas and water, sewage and electricity services are already under pressure
Serious threat to wildlife incuding badgers, bats and butterflies
Inadequate bus service with comes to a halt in the winter weather
13728 Mr John Taylor [4001] 1 Object
Summary Since the narrowing of the road at Berth-y-Glyd, congestion has increased and the extra traffic generated by these houses would make it a lot worse.
There would be a widespread loss of wildlife.
Extra pressure on our already limited resources.
13760 Mrs Lisa Jones [4014] 1 Object
Summary Overdevelopment of this part of the community area.
13755 Miss Michelle Burgess [4015] 1 Object
Summary Deletion of Site.
Over development of this area and loss of greenary where my children enjoy walking, it defeats the object of nature walking if I need to drive to take my
children to participate in this pastime. Also have already had flooding issues with the layout of my garden, how will the drains cope with even more water?
Change Sought: Deletion of Site
13773 Mr Robert Redhead [4016] 1 Object
Summary Deletion of Site.
The site would constitute over development.
Would be a sustantial erosion of the green buffer the infrastructure is unsufficient. The site is in close proximity to a working quarry. Badger setts have been
found on the area adjecent to the site.
13763 Mr Michael Lewis [4017] 1 Object
14396 Ms Eleanor Carpenter [4426] 1 Object
Summary I object on the following grounds:
1. Settlement growth
2. Access
3. Ownership.
The village has already taken substantial amounts of housing growth in recent years and the proposed allocation plus commitments will achieve an
unsustainable and inapproporate growth rate for a main village.
13618 Mrs Denise Parry [3943] 1 Object
Summary Over development of this part of the village/community.
Massive erosion of green buffer zone.
Village facilities over-stretched as is now.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13811 Mrs Jacqueline Phillips [4033] 1 Object
Summary The existing highways provision locally is already under pressure from existing residents.
Dolwen/Pentregwyddel Roads not suitable for walking. Access/egress on these routes would cause additional congestion.
The proposed site would have a detrimental effect on the historic centre of the village and its environs.
There is enough social/affordable housing already. Village bordered by two estates.
LPG gas is expensive to run.
The local school will not accommodate increased numbers. Already use a protacabin due to overflow and any extra buildings would reduce recreational
facilities.
Number of village shops not sufficient to cater for extra demand.
