Summary I would like to put forward two alternative sites for development in the LPD.
I believe these two sites can be assessed as sustainable against the Council's criteria and are more suitable for development than the Brooklands site.
Change Sought: Allocate the two parcels of land on the attached plans.

Summary I object as follows:
Lack of public consultation, documents expensive and written in planning terminology, website confusing.
The assessments of the sites are untrue, the land is outside the settlement and is not semi rural.
The land is designated as 'special landscape value'.
Bus services are inadequate.
Sites are in open countryside.
Plot 355 has a high pressure gas main running through it.
The road leading to the sites has severe restrictions.
Access to amenities is very poor.
Have a variety of aminal species and plant life.
The original size of Plot 355 has doubled.
Unacceptable burden on infrastructure.
Change Sought: Delete site.

Summary The site included in the original LDP did not meet the soundness tests as it is not in a green belt area, there is a main gas pipe running through the field
(confirmed in writing to me by United Utilities who are unaware of the inclusion of this site in the original LDP/revised LDP) and there are serious highway
issues which is the reason the site on the opposite side of the road was rejected from the original LDP.
Change Sought: Delete site

Summary We have made separate representations in relation to the housing land supply, needs and levels of growth suggest in the Plan. The conclusion of these
representations is that without additional housing provision the plan is unsound and there is a considerable shortfall in housing land supply to meet the needs
identified by the evidence. This site is currently identified as a contingecy site in the Plan. The Council, therefore, acknowledge that it is a suitable site for
residential development and has the potential to contribute to housing supply during the plan period.
Change Sought: The site at Dolwen Road, Old Colwyn by allocated for housing development.

Summary We object on the following grounds:
Traffic safety on dolwen Road on the section approaching the 30mph signs.
How can this road possibly sustain an increase in traffic of this magnitude in such a dangerous place? We are only 2 cars - you are creating a problem with
potentially 300+ cars.
Further down the road is the entrance for Ysgol Bryn Elian and also Ysgol Ty Gwyn Jones, both of which already have serious traffic concerns on a daily
basis.

Summary My main objections are;
These are green field sites. Surely there are brown field sites.
Natural habitats with their own unique flora and fauna need to be protected for future generations.
Has an environmental impact study been carried out ?
2 sites have now been identified whereas there was only 1 site in the original.
Building this many homes in a small area would destroy the character.
Traffic on Dolwen rd would massively increase.
Access to the proposed sites is poor.
Local services eg schools , doctors , dentist etc would be put under added strain.
