744 The Occupier [952] 1 Object
Summary Government Offices in Dinerth Road Rhos on Sea should replace the proposed site at the College for the following reasons:
Already developed with services and appropriate access.
It is a brownfield site and not a green wedge.
Level and does not impact on the local landscape.
There would be no undo effect on the local environment.
More housing could be accommodated on the larger site.
There would be no loss of open space or recreational aspect.
Any concern on legal issues such as covenants would not apply.
The site is not on or close to a flood plain.
Pressure from local residents to further development may not arise.
Change Sought: Replace Site 213 with Government Buildings Dinerth Road
Mr Colin Winship [889]
1 Object
Summary My objection is because this is a greenfield site of open plan and beauty that is used for recreational purposes by the community as intended by the late Mr.
Victor Wilde. He gave this land to the people of Rhos. I am unable to understand how this land can be put forward for planning/or sold, without ownership of
the deeds.
Change Sought: I propose that the brownfield sit eof the old Government buildings, just off Dinerth Road be used for development instead as part of the Local Development
Plan for the Rhos-on-Sea area.
