4.2.2 Housing Strategy Statement, Policy HOU/1 MEETING THE HOUSING NEED
Rep No Name People Type
17688 Mr Arfon Hughes [1746] 1 Object
Summary We consider the scale of growth excessive and unjustified to meet the needs of the Town and the LDP lacks a robust and credible evidence to support it, fails
to demonstrate whether the community has or is capable of delivering the necessary infrastructure and house building capacity to support growth (particularly
in combination with the impacts of development proposed in Bodelwyddan) and would have impact on the culture of the Town (including the Welsh language).
Change Sought: Greater emphasis should be placed on a lower level of growth that supports existing community infrastructure and natural population change.
19382 Mr E R Davies [2043] 1 Object
Summary I propose that condidate stie 109 should be reconsidered for partial small scale development for residential pruposed e.g. Affordable Housing.
I do not consider the rasons stated in the LDP for it not being taken forward are sound:
a) The top part of the site are not on a slope for building exclusion.
b) The access road is exactly the same as for site 454 which was deemed acceptable.
Change Sought: The settlement boundary should be modified to include all or part of site 109.
14505 Mr Robert Malcolm Medlicott [1290] 1 Object
17626 Mr Selwyn Rees [2091] 1 Object
Summary Site 67/643/353 should be considered separately from the larger Greenfield site to the south, as it is a Brownfield site that forms part of/directly adjoins the
settlement & is entirely appropriate for a modest housing development.
The site at Glyn Farm is an entirely acceptable and appropriate site for allocation within the LDP, and does not suffer from the access issues identified by the
LPA, and is a suitable Brownfield site for a modest housing development. It should be allocated to assist in meeting the shortfalls in housing growth level set
within the Plan.
Change Sought: Allocate site 67/643/353 for housing.
18047 Janet Williams [1176] 1 Object
19444 Cyngor Cymuned Llansannan (Mr Eifion Jones) [2082] 1 Object
Summary We are aware that the areas of land submitted for the Local Development Plan during March 2007 have either been withdrawn by their owners or deemed
unsuitable by the Planning Service.
This is of grave concern to us as a Council and we ask you to re-consider these sites once more as we need affordable housing in this village to ensure future
growth.
Change Sought: Re-consider the sites submitted in Llansannan during March 2007.
