4.2.2 Housing Strategy Statement, Policy HOU/1 MEETING THE HOUSING NEED
Rep No Name People Type
17908 Mrs Jennifer Davies [4472] 1 Object
Summary We consider the scale of growth excessive and unjustified to meet the needs of the Town and the LDP lacks a robust and credible evidence to support it, fails
to demonstrate whether the community has or is capable of delivering the necessary infrastructure and house building capacity to support growth (particularly
in combination with the impacts of development proposed in Bodelwyddan) and would have impact on the culture of the Town (including the Welsh language).
Change Sought: Greater emphasis should be placed on a lower level of growth that supports existing community infrastructure and natural population change.
17875 Mrs Julie Jones [4469] 1 Object
Summary We consider the scale of growth excessive and unjustified to meet the needs of the Town and the LDP lacks a robust and credible evidence to support it, fails
to demonstrate whether the community has or is capable of delivering the necessary infrastructure and house building capacity to support growth (particularly
Change Sought: Greater emphasis should be placed on a lower level of growth that supports existing community infrastructure and natural population change.
14502 Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board [4475] 1 Object
Summary We note that this Policy assumes a contribution towards housing land supply from windfall sites, but at the same time the policy proposes to severely restrict
residential development in Tier 2 Main Villages, Minor Villages and elsewhere in hamlets and open countryside. There does not appear to be any policy in the
Plan which makes clear the intended approach to previously developed sites which arise as potential windfall opportunities. It makes no sense whatsover that
previously developed sites should be prevented from being redeveloped when they can make a valuable contribution to land supply in a sustainble fashion.
Change Sought: A new policy needs to be included in the Plan to recognise the potential for previously developed sites to be brought forward to development where such sites
demonstrate a reasonable level of sustainability and where their development would not conflict with the key strategic objectives of the Plan.
14468 Cyngor Tref Bodelwyddan Town Council (Ms Jenny Prendergast) [4455] 1 Object
Summary Bodelwyddan Town council passed a resolution at its meeting on 21st April 2011 to support the objections to the LDP raised by Abergele Town Council.
Bodelwyddan Town Council are also conerned that the LDP for Conwy and LDP for Denbighshire both cite large scale building of houses and industrial units
within a small distance of each other.
If both these plans were to meet approval there will be a substantial strain on the infrastructure servicing both communities, the education and health services
would be put under a considerable amount of pressure.
Change Sought: Reduce housng growth.
14490 Mr & Mrs EA & J Watson [4102] 2 Object
Summary The Town Council considers the scale of growth excessive and unjustified to meet the needs of the Town and the LDP lacks a robust and credible evidence
to support it, fails to demonstrate whether the community has (or is capable of delivering) the necessary infrastructure and houseuilding capacity to support
growth (particularly in combination with the impacts of development proposed in Bodelwyddan) and would have impact on the culture of the Town (including
the Welsh Language)
Change Sought: Reduce the level of housing growth.
19573 Cyngor Cymuned Llangernyw (Mrs Elwen Owen) [4577] 1 Object
Summary Mae Cyngor Cymuned Llangernyw yn bryderus am y nifer o dai ychwanegol y gellir eu hadeiladu yn y sir ac yn arbennig y nifer sydd wedi ei glustnodi ar gyfer
Abergele.
Gofynnwn y cwestiwn a oes gan y Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol ddigon o adnoddau i gynnal y boblogaeth fydd yn dod yn sgil y datblygiadau tai?
Ond ar y llaw arall rydym yn awyddus i bentrefi bach fod yn bentrefi byw - ac nid yn llawn o bobl mewn oed - ac rydym yn falch y bydd modd i godi tai
fforddiadwy yn y pentrefi os oes galwad lleol.
Change Sought: Reduce housing growth.
19572 Mr & Mrs T & M Williams [4575] 1 Object
Summary Cawson ein brawychu a'n siomi pan glywsom fod Sir Conwy yn bwriadu adeiladu miloedd o dai yn Sir Conwy yn eu Cynllun Datblygu LLeol.
Dymunwn fynegi ein ngwrthwynebiad llwyraf i'r bwriad hwn ar sail y rhesymau a ganlyn:
* Mae maintioli'r datblygiad yn gwbl afresymol.
* Byddai adeiladu cynifer a hyn o dai yn rhoi straen afresymol ar yr isadeiledd lleol.
* Nid yw'r datblygiad yn gwneud unrhyw synnwyr o safbwynt amgylcheddol.
* Bydd y datblygiad yn rhwym o achosi newid demograffig sylweddol ac yn sicr o ddod a newidiadau diwylliannol enfawr yn ei sgil.
Change Sought: Reduce housing growth.
