Summary We note that this Policy assumes a contribution towards housing land supply from windfall sites, but at the same time the policy proposes to severely restrict
residential development in Tier 2 Main Villages, Minor Villages and elsewhere in hamlets and open countryside. There does not appear to be any policy in the
Plan which makes clear the intended approach to previously developed sites which arise as potential windfall opportunities. It makes no sense whatsover that
previously developed sites should be prevented from being redeveloped when they can make a valuable contribution to land supply in a sustainble fashion.
Change Sought: A new policy needs to be included in the Plan to recognise the potential for previously developed sites to be brought forward to development where such sites
demonstrate a reasonable level of sustainability and where their development would not conflict with the key strategic objectives of the Plan.

Summary Bodelwyddan Town council passed a resolution at its meeting on 21st April 2011 to support the objections to the LDP raised by Abergele Town Council.
Bodelwyddan Town Council are also conerned that the LDP for Conwy and LDP for Denbighshire both cite large scale building of houses and industrial units
within a small distance of each other.
If both these plans were to meet approval there will be a substantial strain on the infrastructure servicing both communities, the education and health services
would be put under a considerable amount of pressure.
