SECTION FOUR - SPATIAL POLICIES, KEY DIAGRAMS AND SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT CONTROL POLICIES
4.2.2 Housing Strategy Statement, Policy HOU/1 MEETING THE HOUSING NEED, Adjacent to former Rectory, Llysfaen
Rep No Name People Type
13690 Ms Margaret Keppie [3978] 1 Object
Summary This area is seen as the centre of the village with the historic buildngs of the church, church hall, rectory etc. The development of new houes so close would
irrevocably change the whole character. Llysfaen is a village with a village.
The surrounding roads are too narrow with one way traffic only at certain points and there are no pavements - road safety issues.
No mains gas
Fault lines runs under the field so quarry blasting will cause building problems.
Open spaces in village should now be maintained as many others have already seen housing development.
13906 Mrs Carys Chester [4078] 1 Object
Summary Deletion of Site.
The allocation amounts to over development of the village. There has been substantial development in the past 10 years.
Loss of open space between buildings at historic centre of village. Openess of site is important to the village.
Village has narrow roads and limited infrastructure.
Site not suitable for development having regard to gradiant of the site and access onto Pentregwyddel Road.
There is evidence of badger trails and bats on the site.
Change Sought: Deletion of site
13747 Mr Chris Reeves [4010] 1 Object
Summary Overdevelopment having regard to village facilities
Loss of open space between historical buildings at centre of village
Village has limited infratructure and narrow roads
LDP is not sound with this site included
Change Sought: Delete site
14001 Mrs Joyce Winterbottom [4119] 1 Object
Summary I feel that building on this site will mean the loss of the open space between historic building (i.e. Village church, village hall and rectory), and will create over
development of this area. The infrastructure and the narrow roads (with no pavements) will put extra pressure on the village facilities. I object strongly to this
development, and feel that this site should be deleted from the LDP.
Change Sought: Deletion of site
13977 Mr Wayne Trow [4111] 1 Object
Summary I do not believe this development to be 'sound' as we build more we are not taking into consideration the welfare of our families and the lack of road (narrow
roads) and paths ie. the danger this will cause with an overpopulated village. There are plenty of empty houses in Llysfaen which could house many people in
them if the money was spent on them (ie. repossessions etc)
Change Sought: Deletion of Site
14022 Mrs Jaqueline Bentouri [4130] 1 Object
Summary Deletion of Site.
Local infrastructure inadequate, roads, drains, water much over development recently. More vehicle traffic in village increased parking. More development in
Tier 1 village is contrary to the planning strategy. Loss of argicultural land and open views overcrowding at school and traffic conjestion.
Change Sought: Deletion of site
13989 Mr Glen Winterbottom [4117] 1 Object
Summary I Object to this plan, as this will load to over development of the village. The village infrastructure is limited with narrow roads and adding more houses would
cause more stress on these facilities. Also I fell this village has already seen a substantial number of houses built over the last 10 years. This site in the LDP
should be deleted.
Change Sought: Deletion of Site
13683 Ms Catherine Jones [3975] 1 Object
Summary Loss of open space between buildngs at the historic centre of the village
Roads not suitable for heavy traffic
The allocation amounts to overdevelopment
Change Sought: Delete site
13631 Mrs Sharon Thomas [3950] 1 Object
Summary We are losing all our green areas, we are a village not a town. Our roads cannot handle all the extra traffic, it is dangerous enough by the school and the road
is blocked. Also this is the historic centre of the village and has listed buildings it does not need new builds ruining it.
In the winter the slightest bit of snow and people struggle to get up and down. There are no pavements on some of the roads so extra traffic will cause more
danger.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13692 Mr Dez Walters [3982] 1 Object
Summary The surrounding roads are too narrow already with one way traffic at times, no pavements etc which leads to safety issues.
This area of Llysfaen is regarded as the centre with historic buildings, sites, church, church houe, rectory etc and this would change the whole character.
No amenities i.e. gas, mains sewers etc.
This site is on a natural fault line which would lead to problems in the future from quarry blasting, some houses arleady have problems.
We do not want to loose what little still remains of the green belt and village life.
Change Sought: Delete site
13911 Mr Charles Wood [4081] 1 Object
Summary Deletion of Site.
Loss of open space in the historic part of the village.
Greenfield site outside the existing settlement.
Ecological issues. Evidence of badger and bats in the proposed site.
LDP is not sound with this site included.
Change Sought: Deletion of site.
13915 Mrs Joan Wood [4083] 1 Object
