SECTION FOUR - SPATIAL POLICIES, KEY DIAGRAMS AND SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT CONTROL POLICIES
4.2.2 Housing Strategy Statement, Policy HOU/1 MEETING THE HOUSING NEED, Site 1, Rhuddlan Road, Abergele
Rep No Name People Type
13387 Mrs T K Ralph [121] 1 Object
Summary I'm writing to register my protest at the new LD Plans. My objections are:
Loss of amenity
Traffic conjestion
Stress on infrastructure
All these points need to be taken very seriously.
Change Sought: Adjust the level of housing growth for Abergele.
19847 Mr David holmes [1801] 1 Object
Summary These sites form the gateway to the town from the east and will result in the loss to development of existing playing fields.
Parts of the land are at risk of flooding and comprise best and most versatile agricultural land protected from development by national planning policies. No
assessment of archaeological potential has been undertaken.
Development is shown to be dependant on the Abergele Traffic Improvement Scheme (funded by developer contributions) but the plan fails to identify how or
if these can be delivered. Development will introduce unacceptable traffic growth and flows through the town centre.
Change Sought: Deletion of site
13400 Mr Bob Pearson [734] 1 Object
Summary I m apalled to see the proposed plan for housing in and around the Abergele Area.
The infrastructure struggles to manage the amount of people living in the location, not to mention the huge number of people entering the area when the
caravan parks open.
There are delays when travelling in any direction around town, the hospitals and doctors cannot cope at present and a large increase of children is bound to
have a significant effect on the schools.
This plan has been ill thought out.
