4.2.2 Housing Strategy Statement, Policy HOU/1 MEETING THE HOUSING NEED, Ysgol Cynfran, Llysfaen
Rep No Name People Type
13695 Mrs Francis Roberts [3983] 1 Object
Summary Totally unsuitable access proposed adjacent to school.
Site not suitable for develpment having regard to gradient and will create substantial overlooking.
Site isolated from Dolwen Road as immediately adjacent site not allocated.
No footpath connection between historic centre of village and proposed allocation.
Greenfield site outside existing settlement.
Change Sought: Delete site
13907 Mrs Carys Chester [4078] 1 Object
Summary Deletion of site.
The allocation amouts to over development of the village.
The site is accessed from Dolwen Road and adjacent to Cynfran Primary School and this access will be hazardous.
The site is isolated as the land immediately adjacent to the school in not included.
There are no footpaths from the site to the historic core of the village.
Development of the site will result in significant overlooking.
Change Sought: Deletion of Site
13620 Miss Sam Evans [3944] 1 Object
Summary Dolwen Road is dangerous enough as school times and it would be ridiculously dangerous if new houses were built.
Also there has recently already been a vast amount of new houses. We are loosing green areas and we are a village not a town and the roads have no
pavements.
Don't have mains gas and the new houses will ruin the historical village.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13675 Mrs Lesley Mancini [3971] 1 Object
Summary Unsuitable access proposed adjacent to school.
Change Sought: Delete site
13884 Mr Ian Catterall [4059] 1 Object
Summary A development of this size in the historical centre of the village will forever change its character, take away the last remaining open green areas, and spoil the
village. I also doubt that any houses built will be within the financial reach of local people, and that they will be acquired by social housing providers for people
from outside Conwy. Llysfaen has had more than its fair share of development in recent years, including private housing, social housing and the controversial
nearby landfill site, and the council should seek to find an alternative site.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13709 Mrs Vivienne Morgan [3991] 1 Object
Summary Village centre and surrounding area must not be developed as it will destroy its historical context.
The village has been developed a lot in recent years and many of the lanes which will have to be used in the context of development and residential use can
not be more than single track. This is already causing hazards (to pedestrians and vehicle users) as most have no pavements either.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13765 Mrs Leslie Lewis [4018] 1 Object
Summary Allocation amounts to overdevlopment of village.
Unsuitable access proposed adjacent to school.
Site not suitable for development having regard to access, gradient and overlooking.
Site isolated from Dolwen Road.
Already substantial development in village in past 10 years.
The LDP is not sound with this site included.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13778 Mrs Deborah Stevens [4022] 1 Object
Summary It is not wise to increase traffic so near to a school the roads are narrow and totally unsafe it will be to late when a child is killed.
Change Sought: Deletion of site
13803 Mrs Jacquelyn Jackson [4030] 1 Object
Summary Deletion of Site.
I think the houses shouldn't be built at all danger to the families in Llysfaen, also the roads can't take the traffic. Why should you be allowed to take our Green
Fields and spoil everything? what will happen they will be left empty and the council will put families from everywhere. We don't need houses at all.
Change Sought: Deletion of Site
13775 Mr Griffith Melvyn Evans [4021] 1 Object
Summary A totally unstuiable access proposed adjacent to school This site is totally uinsuitable for development, not only the unsuitable access proposed adjacent
tothe school, it would also create substantial overlooking.
Llysafen (village) lack the suficient roads and school to accommodate such number proposed.
It astounds me that such a building project could be proposed when we can't even get natural gas supplied here.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13771 Mrs Margaret Wan [4020] 1 Object
Summary Lack of infrastructure in area e.g. very narow roads, lack of police, only an hourly bus service, no mains gas service, sewage etc.
Very close proximity to the rock blasting quarry, very loud blasting nosie and bad tremors.
New houses will look out of character to the villager's stone built houses/cottages. New houses will look cramped up and make the village like a big housing
estate instead of a nice little village.
It is unfair that the council not allowing the proposed land owner to sell the plot to the public first.
LDP is not sound with this site included.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13805 Ms Sara Molinari [4031] 1 Object
Summary Site not suitable for development having regard to access, gradient and overlooking.
Site isolated from Dolwen Road.
Already substantial development in village over past 10 years.
Allocation amounts to overdevelopment of village.
The LDP is not sound with this site included.
Change Sought: Delete site.
13832 Mr Gwilyn Keith Jones [4040] 1 Object
Summary This site is not suitable for any development having regard to gradient and access onto Pentregwyddel Road.
Any buildings on this site would mean loss of open space between the historic buildings at the centre of the village, site is sensitive given setting of church,
church house and rectory.
Change Sought: Delete site.
