Summary Parts of the land are at risk of flooding and comprise best and most versatile land protected from development by national planning policies. No assessment
of agricultural land quality and loss has been undertaken nor have any strategic archaeological potential studies been undertaken.
The site is accessible only from a new road linking to the Rhuddlan Road Roundabout which is dependant on the Abergele Traffic Improvement Scheme,
delivery of which the plan fails to identify. The number of houses proposed would be at a very high density. This is inappropriate to the character of the town.
Summary I wish to object again to the proposed LDP in Abergele. We do not need nor do we have the capacity and infrastructure to cope with any more houses and
people, it will be unsustainable as well as damaging the environment as the houses will go on green land and spoil even more of our beautiful area. If the
council would look at all the empty homes here and all the chapels and churches that are boarded up, if these were utilised there wouldn't be the need for new
houses to be built anywhere else.
Change Sought: Reduce the housing growth for Abergele.
