SECTION FOUR - SPATIAL POLICIES, KEY DIAGRAMS AND SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENT CONTROL POLICIES
4.2.2 Housing Strategy Statement, Policy HOU/1 MEETING THE HOUSING NEED, Ty Mawr, Llysfaen
Rep No Name People Type
14399 Ms Bethan Jones [4427] 1 Object
Summary I object on the following grounds:
1. Settlement growth
2. Access
3. Ownership.
The village has already taken substantial amounts of housing growth in recent years and the proposed allocation plus commitments will achieve an
unsustainable and inapproporate growth rate for a main village.
Mrs Susan Jones [3941]
School is not big enough to accomodate more children.
The existing road network is already udner pressure from existing residents and could not cope with extra usage from more houses being built.
Pentregwyddel Road is too narrow for extra volume of traffic.
The poposed site would have a huge impact on the historic centre of the village resulting in the character of the village being lost.
Finally Llysfaen already has its share of affordable housing and other sites throughout the County should be sought.
Summary I think it would be a big mistake to think of building any more houses on this site, there are already far too many as it is. Why do you always want to cram
more houses here when there aren't the facilities to cope with them.
Over-development of this part of the community area. Loss of green spaces. these green spaces make Llysfaen what it is. There are already problems with
drainage on Peulwys and this would make the problems worse.
Deletion of Site.
Mrs Margaret Irene Hodgkinson [4004]
Overdevelopment of this part of the community area
Substantial erosion of greeen buffer zone
Overdevlopment having regard to village facilities
Delete site
Ms Janice Sladen [4011]
My concerns for the developments are:
Drainage has been a problem for Peulwys as far as flooding in the past.
The green areas are a bonus and used by families and the wider community.
The development could not be sustained by current facilities provided.
Deletion of site
Overcrowding in our community school. Families with bad reputations will be dumped on the estate. More anti-social behaviour plus more problems with
Alcohol and drugs
