Separate discussions with officers and Local Member have provided conflicting information as to the intended use of this access.
The land along the frontage of St George Road is in our ownership and would not allow for satisfactory forward visibility to serve an access at this point. An
increase in movements (either by vehicles, pedestrians or cyclists wold result in a significant loss of amneity through disturbance to garden and habitiable
rooms). Highways safety would also be unnacceptably prejudiced.
Change Sought: In the absence of any evidence to demonstrate that there is an overwhelming and public need for any form of emergency access at this point, the plan should
be adjusted to remove reference to access at this point.
