Summary I strongly object to the Plan's proposal to allocate 1.8 hectares of greenfield, prime farmland
for housing because:
Green Wedge
Traffic Congestion
Quality Agricultural Land
Farm Viability
The proposal is unsound and unsustainable. The community was not consulted prior to the inclusion of this site. More open, less restricted, less sensitive
land nearer the A470 with less congestion and easier access but limited to 2.5 hectares to avoid encroaching open countryside should be selected.
My objection could be withdrawn if the housing site was deleted and the whole fields remained a green wedge for the plan period.
Change Sought: Remove the contingency housing allocation at Nant-y-Gamar Road.

Summary Exclusion of development as land has existing green wedge designation and is protected under National Assembly Policy Planning Wales document.
CCBC own planning department objection 4 years ago to resist inappropriate development.
Land quality not mentioned in LDP papers, scarce resource.
Traffic flow problems. Current problems with Ysgol Gogarth would be multiplied.
Viability test of farm should be undertaken as there appears a lot of fragmentation.
Change Sought: Remove contingency housing allocation at Nant-y-Gamar Road.

Summary I oppose the proposal to allocate 1.8 hectares of prime green field farmland for housing at Nant y Gamar Road.
There has been no consultation with the local community.
We are concerned that it would lead to the loss of the farms viability.
This is the first step in mergin Craigydon with Craigside.
The land is protected under the National Assembly Policy Planning Wales document.
Traffic on Nant y Gamar Road is very heavy.
We would like the land rejected previously in phase 1 re-examined. Less sensitive land nearer the A470 with easier access to town and countryside.

Summary My wife and I object to the proposal to build houses on Bodafon Fields.
Llandudno boasts a very beautiful bay which is enhanced by the green wedge of Bodafon Fields. Building houses on the fields would damage the beauty of
the bay.
The Inspector, on appeal in 1988, determined against the development of Bodafon Fields and this view was supported in 2006 when the Planning Director
reported that the local authority would resist any housing on the fields.

Summary In the case of Bodafon Fields I would like to see an Events Park or showground with most of the area remaining green but landscaped with a bandstand and
areas like the parks in Scarborough. It would be important to have one large pavilion for flower shows, motor shows etc. to give all year round employment.
The people who object to any devlopment must remember Llandudno was built to attract tourists.
