Summary I write in support of the Local Development Plan proposals for Abergele.
I support the construction of a by pass road and the construction of additional houses to the west of the town. I judge we need such development to ensure
the economic viability of the town and to ensure younger people are encouraged to remain and live and work in North Wales.
I am also very relaxed about the construction of a Gypsy Traveller site. I judge that the Council should consult with the Gypsy Traveller community in North
Wales to ensure the site is co-created with the residents of Abergele to ensure high quality design and construction to meet Gypsy and Traveller's needs.

Summary The Dept. for the Economy & Transport supports the allocation of land at Abergele (part Council ownd site) for the development of approx. 220 dwellings as
shown on Proposals Map 4. The development has the potential to provide a significant contribution to the affordable housing supply and a financial
contribution to the funding of the construction of the first section (Abergele roundabout to St George Road) of the proposed new eastern Abergele by pass.
Officers of DE&T would be pleased to work with the Council on the preparation of a Development Brief for the site.
