Rep No Name People Type
19557 Castell Development Limited [4570] 1 Support
Summary Castell Developments supports the strategic housing target of approximately 6,800 new dwellings and the contingency level of up to approximately 7,900
dwellings.
It supports the approach of locating approximately 85% of new dwellings within the Urban Development Strategy Area.
It supports the approach of locating significant levels of new housing in Abergele.
It welcomes the recognition in Table 4 that windfall development will play an important role in delivering the required levels of new housing.
22389 Denbighshire County Council - Planning Policy (Ms Angela Loftus) [5171] 1 Support
Summary The increased level of new housing to be provided over the period 2007 - 2022, in order to meet household forecasts for Conwy, is noted and welcomed. The
strategy as to where these new homes should be located is a matter for Conwy CBC.
22546 Awdurdod Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri / Snowdonia National Park Authority (Tim Polisi a Chynlluniau Strategol Eryri Policy and Strategic Plans 1 Support
19483 Landmark Consultancy (Mr David Collins) [1055] 1 Support
Summary I fully support all of your allocations, which I feel reflect the fairness of distribution to meet the future needs within the existing communities. I also fully support
the mechanism of new allocations and additional, reserve allocations scheduled under the contingency arrangements.
I am aware of the adverse comments from interested pressure groups and those with vested interests but I feel that, as an Authority, the approach you have
taken is commendable.
13872
I would urge Members to look to the future and ignore the short term "nimby" approach that so many objectors are driven by.
Dwr Cymru Welsh Water (Mr Rhidian Clement) [4058] 1 Support
Summary We note the allocations identified within the Plan and we will work with your Authority and potential developers to fully support sustainable economic
development. However, we believe that due consideration must be given to maintaining service standards for our customers, as well as minimising the impact
on the environment from pollution that can be caused by overloaded sewerage. Therefore this policy needs to cross reference to other policies within your
plan, in particular Policy DP/1, DP/3, DP/4 DP/5 and DP/6.
21061 D McGregor [4861] 1 Object
Summary I object to the identification in principle as opportunities for housing sites 58, 329 and 330, using prime farmland/recreational land for c30 houses either as
windfall sites or as rural exception sites.
Raising the profile of these sites, whilst keeping them under the radar, flags to developers the willingness of CC to develop them.
These sites are Landscape Conservation Areas in the Gwynedd Structure Plan, Green Barriers in Conwy UDP and represent development outside the
settlement area. They are prime agricultural land and constitute a loss of existing greenfield land.
There is no evidence of housing need in this settlement.
Change Sought: Delete sites 58, 329 and 330.
