Summary Objection on the grounds that land surface drainage is problematic, there is limited road access, badger setts are on the site, footpaths are compromised.
Building on farmland in this locality would destroy the beauty and peace of the valley, have serious consequence for the environment, raise preservation and
conservation issues, destroy amenities/leisure and tourism facilities.
We believe the concept of building at Glyn Farm and along the Nant y Grlyn Valley to be flawed, inappropriate, misguided and incomprehensible. It sets an
alarming precedent about building in open countryside.
Change Sought: Remove Glyn Farm site from plan
Summary Council needs to revisit the pre-deposit consultation.
Change Sought: Remove Glyn Farm site from plan
Mrs S A Roberts [220]
1 Object
Summary No consideration has been given to the infrastructure of the local area. The junction of Abergele Road and Groes Road have a blind bend with a busy
motorcycle garage opposite.
If there was a road crash in that specific area, how would emergency services tackle another incident on the top estates?
We have had years of pollution from brick lorries etc from the existing estate.
The area where building is proposed is on a flood plain, adding to the inadequate sewage system.
The building site proposed is a greenfield site. This outrage would remove that forever. Including the flora and fauna and wildlife.
Change Sought: Remove Glyn Farm Site from plan
966 Mrs Linda Miller [224] 1 Object
Summary Delete the Glyn Farm allocation for the reason given in the Glyn Farm Action Group Representation Form.
Change Sought: Remove Glyn Farm Site from the plan
970 Mrs Lynne Drake [242] 1 Object
Summary No sites were identified at pre-deposit stage, the process is rendered invalid and should therefore be stopped, redesigned and started again. No-one at the
Glyn was consulted in the early stages. Inclusion of the Glyn was a last minute situation. The whole thing has been rushed and badly designed.
Glyn Farm is greenfield site. It has previously been subject to planning applications and refused.
It would have adverse impact on landscape and infrastructure is not sufficient.
Change Sought: Remove Glyn Farm Site from plan
Summary
Mr and Mrs John Hewinson [257]
Regarding the Glyn Farm proposal:
1 Object
1 there was no opportunity to raise the matter with the LPA prior to the plan being placed on deposit
2 the proposed development area is a green field site
3 the proposed development will have a detrimental impact on the highway which will put residents safety at risk and also cause drainage problems that could
lead to the flooding of existing premises.
Change Sought: More appropriate sites should be allocated which are deliverable over the period of the plan, including the sourcing of known brown field sites which are not
detailed in the LDP.
973
Roly Schwarz [260]
Summary National policy may not have been followed. The proposal at the Glyn Farm site Colwyn Bay is on open green space, and a brown field site in the same area
is/has not been considered (Dinerth Road).
Change Sought: Remove Glyn Farm Site from plan
977
Mrs Catherine Davies [344]
1 Object
Summary That the sites were not proposed in the pre-deposit consultation and the Glyn Farm site should be deleted from LDP and the CBC should consider alternative
site at Dinerth Road as a brownfield site and should take account of any other site which may be released as result of school modication programme.
Change Sought: Remove Glyn Farm Site from plan
pedestrians and possible flooding issues.
