Determining<br />

Employability Status<br />

How is an individual determined to be<br />

employable?<br />

Individuals are employable when declaring to be<br />

employable and/or if an employability screening<br />

determines they are employable.<br />

All GR employable individuals, except those<br />

exempted for up to 30 days for temporary medical<br />

exemption, are subject to time limits.<br />

GR 41-401.1 –<br />

Employable Adult<br />

What is an employable adult?<br />

Individuals 18 through 59 and 11 months years old<br />

who indicate they are able to work and/or have<br />

been medically determined able to accept<br />

employment are considered to be employable.<br />

Apply for UIB,<br />

Participate in <strong>General</strong> <strong>Relief</strong> Opportunities for<br />

Accept or Maintain Employment – Individuals<br />

must have good cause for quitting, or being fired<br />

from employment, or for refusing a bona fide<br />

<strong>of</strong>fer <strong>of</strong> employment.<br />
