telephoned to obtain information for the PA 101-<br />

• If the information on the returned PA 101-4<br />

conflicts with the information given by the<br />

individual, the rent subsidy provider is called to<br />

clarify the information. The clarification must be<br />

recorded and any subsequent action taken<br />

recorded in Case Comments.<br />

Relocation Benefits<br />

Relocation Benefits received from a public agency<br />

for the purpose <strong>of</strong> relocating from one home to<br />

another are exempt.<br />

Verification: The Case Comments should reflect<br />

that the contract specifying the relocation benefit<br />

amount has been seen and the amount <strong>of</strong> the<br />

benefit.<br />

Note: This determination is not a function <strong>of</strong><br />

LEADER and must be manually determined.<br />

Mortgage Loans<br />

HUD Mortgage Loans<br />

Mortgage loans received from HUD are exempt.<br />

Verification: The Case Comments should reflect<br />

that the mortgage loan document has been seen,<br />

the amount <strong>of</strong> the loan and the date <strong>of</strong> issuance.<br />

After input <strong>of</strong> HUD information, LEADER exempts<br />

the income.<br />

Disaster <strong>Relief</strong> Funds<br />

Funds received from governmental relief programs,<br />

including disaster relief funds (e.g., those received<br />

as a result <strong>of</strong> an earthquake) are exempt.<br />

Verification: The Case Comments should reflect<br />

that the disaster relief document has been<br />

reviewed, the amount <strong>of</strong> funds issued and the date<br />

<strong>of</strong> issuance.
