How is the effective date <strong>of</strong> aid determined?<br />

The effective date <strong>of</strong> aid is either <strong>of</strong> the following,<br />

whichever is later:<br />

• The date the individual first contacts the District<br />

to request GR, or<br />

• Eligibility to GR is established (which can be<br />

prior to the date <strong>of</strong> verification.<br />

EXAMPLE:<br />

An application is made on April 1 by an individual<br />

with $57 in the bank. The individual spends $7 on
