Unit/Worker.<br />

• Retains a copy <strong>of</strong> the ABP 1755 for control/audit<br />

purposes.<br />

• Resolves discrepancies on the ABP 320-2 and<br />

ABP 320-3 signatures when SOS/VPU<br />

determines the signatures are not the same and<br />

the B&C vendor disagrees. This involves<br />

consulting with the B&C ES and reviewing<br />

individual-signed documents in the case record.<br />

Refer to GR 45-108 for additional details on the<br />

ABP 320-3.<br />

If the individual leaves the facility before the<br />

Worker obtains the ABP 320-3, and the individual<br />

is eligible, the ABP 1248, “Authorization to Pay<br />

B&C”, is used to authorize SOS/VPU to pay B&C.<br />

This form should be used rarely and requires a<br />

DDD signature.<br />

• Is the district contact person for SOS/VPU when<br />

there are special B&C payment issues to be<br />

resolved.<br />

• Supplies B&C vendors with copies <strong>of</strong> the ABP<br />

320-2.<br />

• Ensures that payment problems with B&C<br />

facilities are appropriately handled.<br />

• Arranges for district <strong>of</strong>fice interviews/home calls<br />

for new GR B&C applicants who are living in B&C<br />

facilities.<br />

• Upon receipt <strong>of</strong> the two-way fax gram, request to<br />

add vendor to the Approved Board & Care<br />

Listing:<br />

Faxes the gram to SOS/VPU and a copy <strong>of</strong> the<br />

license, if available. Controls for a response from<br />

SOS/VPU to ensure departmental processing<br />

times are met. Contact SOS/VPU if no response<br />

is received within 10 workdays.
