GR 43-203.1 –
Exploring Support
What are sponsors required to do?
If an alien becomes aided on GR during the
sponsorship period, the sponsor is responsible to
reimburse the County for aid paid to the sponsored
alien during that period.
Is the sponsor’s ability to support the individual
while receiving GR explored?
Yes, although the Affidavit of Support is a written
promise to support the alien, the sponsor’s ability to
meet the needs of the individual must be explored.
