The individual’s jail release papers are reviewed<br />

and aid rescinded effective the date <strong>of</strong> release or<br />

the first <strong>of</strong> the month whichever is later.<br />

If the individual is unable to provide release<br />

papers, the County <strong>of</strong> Los Angeles Sheriff’s<br />

<strong>Department</strong> Inmate Information Center is<br />

accessed via the internet at:<br />

http://pajis.lasd.org/ajis_search.cfm.<br />

When the individual is unable to provide jail<br />

release papers or is claiming he/she was never in<br />

jail and the jail release information was not<br />

available on the Sheriff’s Inmate Information<br />

Internet site, the individual is fingerprinted.<br />

GR 44-406.4 Results <strong>of</strong><br />

Fingerprinting<br />

What action is needed after the individual is<br />

fingerprinted?<br />

If there is a fingerprint match, aid is rescinded<br />

effective the date the individual comes to the<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice or the first <strong>of</strong> the month after termination,<br />

whichever is later.<br />

If there is NO fingerprint match, a new<br />

application must be made.<br />

NOTE: If an individual is in jail for 30 days or more,<br />

a fraudulent overpayment exists. However,<br />

for the jail match process only, if the<br />

individual is eligible to cash benefits on the<br />

first <strong>of</strong> the month, he/she is deemed to be<br />

eligible for the entire month.<br />

A new application must be made whenever an<br />

individual contacts the Worker after the extended<br />

suspend period.<br />

GR 44-406.5 Non-<br />

Receipt/Incomplete QR<br />

How are terminations for non-receipt/incomplete<br />

QR 7s handled?<br />

When termination is due to non-receipt/incomplete<br />

QR 7, the individual is given the opportunity to<br />

complete and submit the QR 7 at the GR hearing, or<br />

at any time during the extended suspend period,<br />

prior to or on the third Thursday <strong>of</strong> the month<br />

following the effective month <strong>of</strong> termination. Upon<br />

completion/submission <strong>of</strong> the QR 7, the decision to
