How is the hearing decision made?
The facts presented during the hearing must be
evaluated by the Hearing Officer to determine
whether the intended action is correct or should be
reversed. The decision is based solely on the
information contained in the case record and the
evidence gathered at the hearing. When the
individual fails to appear for the hearing, no further
notices are mailed.
When is aid rescinded?
For hearings held prior to the first of the month (or
rescheduled due to the County’s request), if the
individual resolved the non-compliance issue at the
hearing, aid is rescinded effective the first of the
month following termination.
