GR 41-409.1 – Process<br />

How are the job search contacts validated?<br />

If applying in person:<br />

The ABP 85 is validated by selecting one<br />

prospective employer and calling to determine<br />

whether the individual conducted the job search<br />

activity.<br />

If applying on the Internet, one <strong>of</strong> the following<br />

verifications must be attached to the<br />

ABP 85:<br />

An e-mail confirmation received after<br />

successfully applying for a specific position;<br />

The Job Submission Status which shows<br />

“Application Received” or “Information<br />

Received;” or<br />

A printout that shows the Job Reference<br />

Number and contact e-mail.<br />

If applying on a Kiosk machine:<br />

The confirmation number received after applying<br />

needs to be provided.<br />

If responding to a newspaper advertisement:<br />

A copy <strong>of</strong> the advertisement with the newspaper<br />

name and the publication date needs to be<br />

provided.<br />

If it is determined that the required number <strong>of</strong> job<br />

searches were not completed, both GR and<br />

CalFresh are denied or terminated.<br />

One valid response validates the ABP 85 for<br />

both CalFresh and GR purposes.<br />

Valid responses are:<br />

the individual applied,<br />

the individual inquired, or
