The Assessment Center schedules a urinalysis.<br />

Aid may be approved pending the results <strong>of</strong> the<br />

urinalysis.<br />

If found positive, the individual is referred for<br />

treatment.<br />

If found negative, the system is updated at<br />

the assessment site and no further action is<br />

required.<br />

If the individual fails to complete the urinalysis,<br />

the system is updated by the assessment site<br />

and non-compliance action is automatically<br />

initiated.<br />

Treatment<br />

What does MSARP treatment consist <strong>of</strong>?<br />

Individuals assessed as having an alcohol/drug<br />

problem by the Assessment center are referred to<br />

treatment programs.<br />

These programs can be either outpatient or<br />

residential.<br />

If the individual is already in a treatment<br />

program the Assessment Center evaluates the<br />

program for appropriateness.<br />

When the program is outpatient, a transportation<br />

allowance (in the current bus pass amount) is<br />

authorized.<br />

When the program is residential and the<br />

individual is employable, the individual is not<br />

required to register for work or complete job<br />

searches; however, he/she must comply with<br />

GROW requirements. Participating in substance<br />

abuse treatment 20 hours per week meets the<br />

GROW requirement.<br />

Once enrolled in treatment, the individual must<br />

comply with all program requirements.<br />
