What services are provided through GROW?
The following services are available to all grow
participants, if needed.
Post-Employment Services
Once employment of 20+ hours per week is
obtained, job retention and other services are
available to individuals who remain eligible for
GR. Individuals are given the opportunity to
volunteer for this component.
Substance Abuse Treatment
Individuals are screened for substance abuse
problems as part of the application process. If
screened positive, they are referred for
assessment and treatment, if warranted.
Domestic Violence/Mental Health
Supportive services screening for domestic
violence/mental health issues will take place
during the Employment Need Evaluation,
Orientation/Job Skills Assessment or during
Vocational Assessment. Case Managers will
also make referrals any time an individual
expresses the need for such services.
Work-Related Expenses
The following work-related expenses are
provided to GROW participants:
‣ Transportation in the form of bus passes,
tokens and/or cash.

procedures.
‣ Verified costs of uniforms, shoes, tools, etc.
Refer to WA No. 21 Issuing GROW
Training/Work-Related Expenses for
LEADER procedures.
‣ Education/training costs, such as books, fees
and supplies.
