A “0” sanction is imposed.<br />

On June 30, 2002, GR was terminated for<br />

another sanctionable non-compliance, and there<br />

is no good cause.<br />

A 30-day sanction is imposed.<br />

On August 1, 2002 the individual reapplies and<br />

GR is terminated November 5, 2002 for time<br />

limits.<br />

On February 1, 2003 the individual reapplies<br />

and is approved. GR is terminated March 31,<br />

2003 for a sanctionable non-compliance and<br />

there is no good cause.<br />

A 60-day sanction is imposed.<br />

How does the individual know how long the<br />

sanction period is?<br />

Individuals being sanctioned receive an automated<br />

NOA that includes the sanction period, the date the<br />

individual may reapply and a warning regarding the<br />

next non-compliance with an employable<br />

requirement.<br />

When does a sanction begin?<br />

For individuals applying for aid, the<br />

sanction/ineligible period begins from the date <strong>of</strong><br />

the failure or refusal or from the last day <strong>of</strong> the<br />

period for which aid has been issued, whichever<br />

is later.<br />

For individuals with an approved case, the<br />

ineligible period begins from the first day<br />

following the effective date <strong>of</strong> termination.<br />

In addition to the individual who fails or refuses<br />

without good cause to comply with an<br />

employable/GROW requirement, the spouse who<br />

resides with that person is subject to the 0/30/60<br />

day progressive penalty.<br />
