What happens with the ABP 495?<br />

The ABP 495 is forwarded to the district collection<br />

liaison, (GR DDD or designate) who enters the<br />

information on the ABP 510, <strong>General</strong> <strong>Relief</strong><br />

Collection Referral Log (an out <strong>of</strong> drawer form).<br />

The ABP 495 and case are sent to SOS and<br />

controlled according to the instructions on the ABP<br />

510.<br />

If an individual re-applies after termination for<br />

the reasons listed above, what needs to be<br />

done?<br />

• When an application is denied on a case that<br />

received aid on a prior application, the case is<br />

reviewed to determine if an ABP 495 should<br />

have been completed based on the prior<br />

amount <strong>of</strong> aid.<br />

• If an ABP 495 was required but not completed,<br />

an ABP 495 is completed.<br />

GR 44-310.5 – Treasurer<br />

and Tax Collector<br />

Does the Special Operations Section send<br />

cases to the Treasurer and Tax Collector (TTC)<br />

for collection?<br />

Yes, overpayment information is forwarded to the<br />

TTC where accounts are maintained for payment<br />

<strong>of</strong> GR.<br />

GR in the District<br />

Are individuals referred to the TTC if they wish<br />

to make a payment on their collectable aid?<br />

Yes, individuals are referred to the TTC to make<br />

payment unless the case is still in the district<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice; however, if the individual wants to make the<br />

payment in the district <strong>of</strong>fice, it is not to be refused.<br />

How are repayments received in the district<br />

handled?<br />

For procedures on handling funds collected in the<br />

district <strong>of</strong>fice, refer to Section 23-104 <strong>of</strong> the DPSS<br />

Operations Handbook.
