4. Any unexpended income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund in a financial year may be expended in a subsequent year<br />

RAWLINSON FUND<br />

The gift <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> freehold premises No. 14 King’s Parade, and <strong>the</strong> bequest <strong>of</strong> £1,500, made by <strong>the</strong> Rt<br />

Hon. Dr J. F. P. Rawlinson, KC, to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> forms <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong> a fund named <strong>the</strong> Rawlinson<br />

Fund. Any credit balance in <strong>the</strong> Rawlinson Fund at <strong>the</strong> end <strong>of</strong> each financial year is transferred to <strong>the</strong><br />

Special Purposes Fund.<br />

ALBERT RECKITT FUND<br />

1. The benefaction <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> late Mr A. L. Reckitt shall form a fund to be called <strong>the</strong> Albert Reckitt<br />

Fund.<br />

2. The income from <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be used for promoting study and research in <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> in<br />

History and Philosophy <strong>of</strong> Science.<br />

3. The Board <strong>of</strong> History and Philosophy <strong>of</strong> Science shall be responsible for <strong>the</strong> management <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

SIR ROBERT REDE’S LECTURESHIP<br />

1. The appointment <strong>of</strong> Sir Robert Rede’s Lecturer shall be made annually by <strong>the</strong> Vice-Chancellor.<br />

2. The Lecturer shall deliver one lecture in Full Term within one year <strong>of</strong> appointment, <strong>the</strong> time and<br />

place <strong>of</strong> delivery being fixed on each occasion by <strong>the</strong> Vice-Chancellor.<br />

1. The gift <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Michael Redhead, Emeritus Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> History and Philosophy <strong>of</strong> Science,<br />

in memory <strong>of</strong> his wife, Jennifer Redhead, shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong> Jennifer Redhead Fund, <strong>the</strong><br />

income <strong>of</strong> which shall be used to encourage <strong>the</strong> study <strong>of</strong> history and philosophy <strong>of</strong> science in <strong>the</strong><br />

<strong>University</strong>.<br />

2. There shall be a Jennifer Redhead Prize to be awarded annually by <strong>the</strong> Examiners for <strong>the</strong><br />

examination in History, Philosophy, and Sociology <strong>of</strong> Science, Technology, and Medicine for <strong>the</strong><br />

M.Phil. Degree for an outstanding performance on <strong>the</strong> essay components <strong>of</strong> that examination.<br />

3. The value <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Prize shall be <strong>the</strong> annual income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund.<br />

4. If in any year <strong>the</strong> Prize is not awarded, <strong>the</strong> income for that year shall be added to <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> Fund.<br />

HENRY REITLINGER FUND<br />

1. The moneys received by <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> under <strong>the</strong> Will <strong>of</strong> Henry Scipio Reitlinger, M.A., <strong>of</strong><br />

King’s College, shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong> Henry Reitlinger Fund.<br />

2. The Managers <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be <strong>the</strong> Fitzwilliam Museum Syndicate.<br />

3. The capital and <strong>the</strong> income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be applied, at <strong>the</strong> discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Managers, and<br />

in accordance with <strong>the</strong> provisions <strong>of</strong> Mr Reitlinger’s Will as varied by two Schemes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Charity<br />

Commissioners dated 4 January 1995 and 3 September 1996, for <strong>the</strong> maintenance and <strong>the</strong> augmentation<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> collection <strong>of</strong> works <strong>of</strong> art bequea<strong>the</strong>d to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> by Mr Reitlinger, by one or more <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

following means:<br />

(a) <strong>the</strong> provision <strong>of</strong> buildings to hold <strong>the</strong> collection, or <strong>the</strong> improvement <strong>of</strong> buildings in which <strong>the</strong><br />

collection is held, including <strong>the</strong> means <strong>of</strong> display <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> collection;
