816 TRUST EMOLUMENTS<br />
EVOLUTION EDUCATION TRUST DARWIN CORRESPONDENCE FUND<br />
Title.<br />

Grace 1 <strong>of</strong> 16 March 2011<br />
1. The sums received from <strong>the</strong> Evolution Education Trust shall form a fund known as <strong>the</strong> Evolution<br />
Education Trust Darwin Correspondence Fund.<br />
2. The income and capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be used to support <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> Library’s Darwin<br />
Correspondence Project. Should <strong>the</strong> Darwin Correspondence Project cease to exist, <strong>the</strong> income and<br />
capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be used to support activities related to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> Library’s Darwin<br />
Collections as recommended by <strong>the</strong> Managers and approved by <strong>the</strong> Library Syndicate, following<br />
consultation with <strong>the</strong> Donor.<br />
3. The Managers <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> Librarian, <strong>the</strong> Head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong><br />
History and Philosophy <strong>of</strong> Science, and two persons appointed by <strong>the</strong> Library Syndicate, one following<br />
a nomination by <strong>the</strong> Evolution Education Trust, for a period <strong>of</strong> five years at a time.<br />
4. Any unexpended income in any financial year may, at <strong>the</strong> discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Managers, be<br />
accumulated and added to <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund or be held as an income reserve and expended in<br />
any one or more subsequent years in accordance with Regulation 2 above.<br />

EXXONMOBIL CHEMICAL ENGINEERING PRIZE<br />
1. The sum made available annually by <strong>the</strong> Exxon Mobil Corporation shall be used to provide a<br />
prize in Chemical Engineering.<br />
2. The Prize shall be awarded annually by <strong>the</strong> Examiners for Part IIA <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Chemical Engineering<br />
Tripos to <strong>the</strong> candidate who has shown <strong>the</strong> greatest distinction in that examination.<br />

FAIRHAVEN FUND<br />
1. The sum <strong>of</strong> £30,000 given to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> by Lord Fairhaven to mark <strong>the</strong> centenary <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
opening <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> original Fitzwilliam Museum building shall form a fund to be called <strong>the</strong> Fairhaven<br />
Fund.<br />
2. The income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be applied for <strong>the</strong> benefit <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fitzwilliam Museum at <strong>the</strong><br />
discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fitzwilliam Museum Syndicate for <strong>the</strong> purpose <strong>of</strong> purchasing paintings and drawings<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> British School <strong>of</strong> landscape painting, particularly <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Norwich School.<br />
3. So far as is practicable <strong>the</strong> full income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be spent each year.<br />
4. No living artist’s work shall be purchased.<br />

ALISON FAIRLIE PRIZE IN FRENCH<br />
1. The sums given to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> by a former student <strong>of</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Alison Fairlie, formerly<br />
Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> French and Fellow <strong>of</strong> Girton College, shall form a fund, <strong>the</strong> income <strong>of</strong> which shall be<br />
used to provide a prize in her memory called <strong>the</strong> Alison Fairlie Prize in French.<br />
2. The Prize shall be awarded annually by <strong>the</strong> Examiners in French for Part IA <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Modern and<br />
Medieval Languages Tripos for an outstanding performance in <strong>the</strong> examination for that subject.<br />
3. If in any year <strong>the</strong> Prize is not awarded, <strong>the</strong> income for that year shall be added to <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Fund.<br />

FALCON CHAMBERS PRIZE FOR LAND LAW<br />
1. The sum made available annually by Falcon Chambers shall be used to provide a prize called<br />
<strong>the</strong> Falcon Chambers Prize for Land Law.<br />
2. The Prize shall be awarded by <strong>the</strong> Examiners for Part IB <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Law Tripos to <strong>the</strong> candidate who<br />
has shown <strong>the</strong> greatest distinction in <strong>the</strong> subject Land Law in that examination.<br />
ELLEN FARNELL FUND<br />
Title and<br />
purpose.<br />
Grace 6 <strong>of</strong> 18 January 2012<br />
The sums derived from <strong>the</strong> Will <strong>of</strong> Miss I. M. Silver shall form a fund to be called <strong>the</strong> Ellen Farnell<br />
Fund. The income derived from <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be applied to support medical research, at <strong>the</strong> discretion<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Regius Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Physic, in <strong>the</strong> following ways:<br />
(i) to support a Fellowship ei<strong>the</strong>r full or part time in <strong>the</strong> Clinical School, which Fellowship shall<br />
bear <strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> Ellen Farnell;
