3. Allocations from <strong>the</strong> income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be authorized by <strong>the</strong> Director <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fitzwilliam<br />
Museum on <strong>the</strong> recommendation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Keeper <strong>of</strong> Paintings, Drawings, and Prints and reported to <strong>the</strong><br />
Fitzwilliam Museum Syndicate.<br />

WILLIAM GEORGE COLLINS ENDOWMENT FUND<br />
1. The sum bequea<strong>the</strong>d to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> by <strong>the</strong> late William George Collins, a former Director <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> <strong>Cambridge</strong> Instrument Company, shall form a fund to be called <strong>the</strong> William George Collins<br />
Endowment Fund.<br />
2. The income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be used at <strong>the</strong> discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Faculty Board <strong>of</strong> Engineering, and<br />
subject to such conditions as <strong>the</strong>y may think fit,<br />
(a) for making grants to members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> who are engaged in research in <strong>the</strong> field <strong>of</strong><br />
engineering in <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Engineering,<br />
(b) for promoting and assisting research in <strong>the</strong> field <strong>of</strong> engineering by any o<strong>the</strong>r means,<br />
provided always that, in accordance with <strong>the</strong> wishes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> benefactor, preference shall be given to<br />
research in <strong>the</strong> spheres <strong>of</strong> electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.<br />
3. In each year in which grants are made from <strong>the</strong> Fund <strong>the</strong> names <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> persons to whom <strong>the</strong>y<br />
have been awarded, but not <strong>the</strong> amounts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> grants, shall be published in <strong>the</strong> Reporter. Grants shall<br />
be payable in <strong>the</strong> manner determined by <strong>the</strong> Faculty Board <strong>of</strong> Engineering.<br />

COMMONWEALTH LIBRARY FUND<br />
1. The moneys received from <strong>the</strong> Trustees <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> fund to acquire <strong>the</strong> Royal Commonwealth Society<br />
Library for <strong>the</strong> nation shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong> Commonwealth Library Fund.<br />
2. The capital and <strong>the</strong> income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be used for <strong>the</strong> cataloguing and digitization <strong>of</strong><br />
material in <strong>the</strong> Royal Commonwealth Society Library and <strong>the</strong> Royal Commonwealth Society Archive,<br />
<strong>the</strong> production <strong>of</strong> online catalogue records for Commonwealth <strong>of</strong>ficial publications in <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong><br />
Library, and <strong>the</strong> provision <strong>of</strong> electronic access from <strong>the</strong> Royal Commonwealth Society’s premises to<br />
<strong>the</strong> Royal Commonwealth Society Library at <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> Library.<br />
3. The Library Syndicate shall submit an annual report on <strong>the</strong>ir administration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund to <strong>the</strong><br />
Trustees until <strong>the</strong> capital and income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund have been fully expended.<br />

COMPARATIVE LAW ENDOWMENT FUND<br />
1. The Managers <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Comparative Law Endowment Fund shall be <strong>the</strong> Faculty Board <strong>of</strong> Law,<br />
who may delegate any or all <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir functions under <strong>the</strong>se regulations to a committee not necessarily<br />
consisting wholly <strong>of</strong> members <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Board.<br />
2. The income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be expended from time to time, as <strong>the</strong> Managers shall determine,<br />
for <strong>the</strong> general purposes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Faculty <strong>of</strong> Law. It shall be open to <strong>the</strong> Managers to add any unexpended<br />
income in a financial year to <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund.<br />
CONNELL FUND<br />
Grace 5 <strong>of</strong> 29 February 2012<br />
1. The sum bequea<strong>the</strong>d to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> by Anthony Murdoch Connell for <strong>the</strong> purchase <strong>of</strong> books<br />
shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong> Connell Fund.<br />
2. The income, and in exceptional cases <strong>the</strong> capital, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be applied at <strong>the</strong> discretion<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Library Syndicate for <strong>the</strong> purchase <strong>of</strong> books for <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> Library to support <strong>the</strong> study <strong>of</strong><br />
philosophy, psychology, sociology, and human relations.<br />
3. Any unexpended income in a financial year may at <strong>the</strong> discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Syndicate ei<strong>the</strong>r be added<br />
to <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund or accumulated for use as income in any one or more subsequent years.<br />

CORBETT FUND AND PRIZE<br />
1. The money received by <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> under <strong>the</strong> Will <strong>of</strong> Samuel Sterndale Corbett, B.A., <strong>of</strong><br />
Christ’s College, shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong> Corbett Fund, which shall be used for <strong>the</strong> promotion and<br />
encouragement <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> study <strong>of</strong> classical Greek in <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>.
