provided that all objects so purchased be labelled ‘C. H. W. Johns Memorial Fund’, and that all o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

benefits thus provided be acknowledged as arising from that Fund.<br />

JONES FUND<br />

1. The sum received by <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> under <strong>the</strong> Will <strong>of</strong> John Reginald Jones in 1963, and announced<br />

in <strong>the</strong> Reporter on 8 May 1963, shall be called <strong>the</strong> Jones Fund.<br />

2. The income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be expended from time to time by <strong>the</strong> Fitzwilliam Museum<br />

Syndicate on <strong>the</strong> purchase <strong>of</strong> pictures or o<strong>the</strong>r works <strong>of</strong> art not less than one hundred years old.<br />

GARETH JONES PRIZE<br />

1. The moneys subscribed in honour <strong>of</strong> Gareth Jones, formerly Downing Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Laws <strong>of</strong><br />

England and Fellow <strong>of</strong> Trinity College, shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong> Gareth Jones Fund, <strong>the</strong> income<br />

<strong>of</strong> which shall be used to provide a prize called <strong>the</strong> Gareth Jones Prize.<br />

2. The Prize shall be awarded by <strong>the</strong> Examiners for <strong>the</strong> LL.M. Examination to <strong>the</strong> candidate who<br />

has shown <strong>the</strong> greatest distinction in <strong>the</strong> subject Law <strong>of</strong> Restitution in that examination.<br />

JOWETT FUND<br />

1. The sum bequea<strong>the</strong>d to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> by <strong>the</strong> late Walter Jowett shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong><br />

Jowett Fund.<br />

2. The Fund shall be used, in accordance with <strong>the</strong> terms <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> bequest, for <strong>the</strong> fur<strong>the</strong>rance <strong>of</strong><br />

research into diseases <strong>of</strong> animals, especially those transmissible to man and tropical diseases <strong>of</strong> domestic<br />

animals.<br />

3. The administration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be entrusted to five Managers, who shall be <strong>the</strong> Regius<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Physic, <strong>the</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Pathology, <strong>the</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Veterinary Science, <strong>the</strong> Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong><br />

Veterinary Clinical Studies, and <strong>the</strong> Head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Veterinary Medicine.<br />

4. Subject to <strong>the</strong> provisions <strong>of</strong> Regulation 2, <strong>the</strong> income and capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be applied<br />

from time to time, at <strong>the</strong> discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Managers and subject to such conditions as <strong>the</strong>y may think<br />

fit,<br />

(a) to purchase equipment and apparatus;<br />

(b) to make grants to persons who are conducting or who intend to conduct research in <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>.<br />

JUDGE MANAGEMENT E DUCATION TRUST M.B.A. PRIZE FOR MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS<br />

1. The sum <strong>of</strong> £5,000 given to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> in 2004 by <strong>the</strong> Judge Management Education Trust<br />

shall form a fund, <strong>the</strong> income <strong>of</strong> which shall be used to provide a prize called <strong>the</strong> Judge Management<br />

Education Trust M.B.A. Prize for Management Analysis.<br />

2. The Prize shall be awarded by <strong>the</strong> Director <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> M.B.A. course for <strong>the</strong> best performance in<br />

Management Analysis in any one year. In awarding <strong>the</strong> Prize <strong>the</strong> Director shall take account <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

reports <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> teaching <strong>of</strong>ficer responsible for <strong>the</strong> delivery and assessment <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Management Analysis<br />

course or its successor course(s).<br />

3. The value <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Prize shall be determined by <strong>the</strong> Faculty Board <strong>of</strong> Business and Management,<br />

within a range approved from time to time by <strong>the</strong> Council.<br />

4. If in any year <strong>the</strong> Prize is not awarded, <strong>the</strong> income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund for that year shall be added to<br />

<strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund.<br />

RICHARD KAHN FUND<br />

1. The sum <strong>of</strong> £65,000 given to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> in 1995 by Dr William Janeway, <strong>of</strong> Pembroke<br />

College, shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong> Richard Kahn Fund, in memory <strong>of</strong> Lord Kahn, formerly Pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />

<strong>of</strong> Economics, which shall be used for <strong>the</strong> promotion and encouragement <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> study <strong>of</strong> Economics<br />

in <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>.
