INDUSTRIAL MANAGEMENT ENDOWMENT FUND<br />
The income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Industrial Management Endowment Fund shall be applied at <strong>the</strong> discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Director <strong>of</strong> Judge Business School for <strong>the</strong> general purposes <strong>of</strong> teaching and research in <strong>the</strong> School.<br />
DAVID JAMES FUND<br />
Grace 2 <strong>of</strong> 12 May 2010<br />
1. The sum bequea<strong>the</strong>d to <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> by <strong>the</strong> late David James, toge<strong>the</strong>r with o<strong>the</strong>r funds received<br />
for <strong>the</strong> same purpose, shall form a fund called <strong>the</strong> David James Fund.<br />
2. The administration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be entrusted to three Managers, who shall be <strong>the</strong> Head <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Pharmacology and two persons nominated by <strong>the</strong> Faculty Board <strong>of</strong> Biology.<br />
3. The income and <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be available for:<br />
(i) <strong>the</strong> provision <strong>of</strong> one or more studentships to be called David James Studentships for those<br />
undertaking postgraduate research degrees in <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Pharmacology;<br />
(ii) <strong>the</strong> fur<strong>the</strong>rance <strong>of</strong> research and teaching in <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Pharmacology.<br />
4. Any unexpended income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund in a financial year shall be ei<strong>the</strong>r added to <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Fund or retained for use as income in future years, as <strong>the</strong> Managers may determine.<br />

JAPANESE STUDIES FUND<br />
1. The sum <strong>of</strong> £750,000 received from Mr Kawashima Hiroshi, <strong>the</strong> similar sum received from Fuji<br />
Bank Limited, and o<strong>the</strong>r sums received for <strong>the</strong> support <strong>of</strong> Japanese Studies shall form a fund called<br />
<strong>the</strong> Japanese Studies Fund, <strong>the</strong> purpose <strong>of</strong> which shall be <strong>the</strong> fur<strong>the</strong>rance <strong>of</strong> Japanese Studies generally<br />
in <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong>, in such manner as may be approved by <strong>the</strong> General Board on <strong>the</strong> recommendation<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Head <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> East Asian Studies in consultation with and with <strong>the</strong> agreement <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> teaching <strong>of</strong>ficers in Japanese in <strong>the</strong> Department.<br />
2. The stipend, national insurance, and pension contributions payable by <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> in respect<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Kawashima Lecturer in Japanese Studies and <strong>the</strong> Fuji Bank Lecturer in Modern Japanese Studies<br />
shall be payable from <strong>the</strong> Fund.<br />
3. Any unexpended income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund in a financial year may be ei<strong>the</strong>r added to <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>the</strong> Fund or accumulated for use as income in future years, as <strong>the</strong> General Board shall determine.<br />

JEBB FUND<br />
1. The money received by <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> from <strong>the</strong> gift and bequest <strong>of</strong> Lady Jebb, widow <strong>of</strong> Sir<br />
Richard Claverhouse Jebb, Regius Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Greek and Representative <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> in Parliament,<br />
shall be separately invested and shall constitute a fund called <strong>the</strong> Jebb Fund.<br />
The money received by <strong>the</strong> <strong>University</strong> under <strong>the</strong> Will <strong>of</strong> Henry Ernest Cashmore for <strong>the</strong> purpose <strong>of</strong><br />
research work shall be added to <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Jebb Fund, but shall be accumulated separately.<br />
2. The income <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be used for <strong>the</strong> encouragement <strong>of</strong> Classical and o<strong>the</strong>r literary<br />
studies by <strong>the</strong> provision <strong>of</strong> Studentships in accordance with Regulations 5–13.<br />
3. The Electors to <strong>the</strong> Jebb Studentships shall be <strong>the</strong> King Edward VII Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> English Literature,<br />
and four persons appointed in <strong>the</strong> Michaelmas Term by <strong>the</strong> Council, one on <strong>the</strong> nomination <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
Faculty Board <strong>of</strong> Classics, one on <strong>the</strong> nomination <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Faculty Board <strong>of</strong> Modern and Medieval<br />
Languages, one on <strong>the</strong> nomination <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Senior Tutors’ Committee, and one on <strong>the</strong> nomination <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
General Board who shall be <strong>the</strong> Chairman, to serve for three years from 1 January following <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
appointment.<br />
4. Any unexpended income accumulated in <strong>the</strong> Fund shall be used<br />
(a) to provide grants, at <strong>the</strong> discretion <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Electors after taking account <strong>of</strong> any o<strong>the</strong>r financial<br />
resources that may be available to <strong>the</strong> Student, not exceeding in any one case such amount as<br />
shall be determined from time to time by <strong>the</strong> Council on <strong>the</strong> recommendation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Electors, to<br />
supplement <strong>the</strong> normal emoluments <strong>of</strong> Students who are in special need <strong>of</strong> such assistance,<br />
whe<strong>the</strong>r for buying necessary books, meeting expenses arising out <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> studies <strong>of</strong> a Student,<br />
or o<strong>the</strong>rwise carrying out <strong>the</strong> general purposes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Studentships or for o<strong>the</strong>r objects germane<br />
to <strong>the</strong> purposes <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Fund;<br />
