163 The meanings of zixt and xiştî may be metaphoric, perhaps even erotic, as this poem is of that theme.
Both words are related to working with oxen. Zixt is the nail on the end of an oxgoad, for prodding. Xişt
can be a staff or a sharp metal point, but may have other meanings as well.
