Most frequently seen problematic consumer behaviours encountered among families<br />

are excessi<strong>ve</strong> consumption, excessi<strong>ve</strong> use of credit card, incapability to establish balance<br />

between income and expense, luxurious demands and being affected from environment<br />

and conspicuous shopping. Some other behaviour mentioned by participants as problematic<br />

are ad<strong>ve</strong>rtisements’ inciting the consumption, buying unnecessary things, extravagance,<br />

not preparing budget plan and disregard or ignorance of energy saving.<br />

According to the opinions of the participants, the most serious problems of the<br />

families are excessi<strong>ve</strong> consumption, luxurious demands and use of credit card. The<br />

point individuals participating in the interview emphasized mostly is that people ha<strong>ve</strong><br />

tendency of shopping constantly and using credit cart in this process.<br />

It is mentioned that people can no longer make a distinction between luxury and<br />

need. Therefore, people buy and use luxury consumption goods and products assuming<br />

that they really need these products.<br />

The second biggest problem in terms of family economy is excessi<strong>ve</strong> and unconscious<br />

use of credit cards. Thanks to credit cards, people buy things costing more than<br />

their incomes and as a result families encounter with <strong>ve</strong>ry serious economic problems.<br />
