Educational Needs Of Families In Turkey<br />

Region. Family members’ le<strong>ve</strong>ls of considering themsel<strong>ve</strong>s competent in dimension<br />

of the media differ significantly according to the region (le<strong>ve</strong>l 1). Accordingly, partici-<br />

pants considering themsel<strong>ve</strong>s least competent in the matter of media compared to the<br />

other participants are those living in TRA Northern Anatolian (41.7 %), TRB Central<br />

Anatolian (38.4 %) and TRC South-eastern Anatolian (40.7 %) Regions.<br />

According to the results of Chi-square analysis relating to comparison of family<br />

members’ eagerness for taking part in a training to be organized in dimension of the<br />

media according to the region (le<strong>ve</strong>l 1), the most eager participant for taking part in<br />

the trainings to be gi<strong>ve</strong>n in the topics relating to the media are generally those living in<br />

TR7 Central Anatolian and TRA North-Eastern Anatolian Regions, while the most<br />

reluctant participants are generally those living in TR1 İstanbul region.<br />
